Wow, the damson one went cheap. I was prepared to pay well over 5 before it dissappeared...
The £7k ones on eBay are a bit too strong for cars that would need more money spent to get them to...
Wow, I'm surprised there's anyone still left who remembers it!
There seems to be quite a bit of movement on ebay so I'll keep an eye. But like you say, prices are a little on the high side, which...
Hi guys!
So I've been away a long time, and am potentially looking for another s14a.
Prices seem all over the shop? And most seem to be bastardised drift slags...
With this in mind, I'm...
I'm on the look out for another s14a, but at that price the colour would put me off :(
agreed, when I drove the manual e39 525tds I kept bumping it into the limiter because it would rev smoothly to the red line without any sounds of mechanical stress..
I've found my 530d doesn't...
Our 530D just feels like a very torquey turbo petrol car.. To be honest, the thing that ruins the sporty'ness is the autobox rather than the engine.. not that its a bad autobox, its actually a very...
Last known reg R426 RJO.. but I sold it to a member in France who, iirc, sold it on to someone in Luxembourg so the reg has probably changed a couple times..
Would be good to see if its still...
Highly unlikely it has anything to do with the fuses.
Lots of strange stuff going on there tbh, where did the water come from?! :wack:
Triple check all your wiring, sounds like something is pretty wrong somewhere. If have accidently shorted the speaker outputs or reversed the polarity on the power cables accidently I doubt that amp...
A Capacitor will just pull power from the battery to charge itself, so now you have an amp and a cap that need charging. The only thing it'll really do it maybe smooth out the voltage a little (and...
The one year I don't have a jap car :( Might have to jump in with MC_bob
I fed my amplifiers with a Redflash 3500. An NSB 90 is meant to be a better battery though. That was well over 3kw rms (rated). Though I could easily get the voltage down to 11.5 if I let the amps...
I used sludge to do the same as what your trying. I didn't find it hugely effective.

The cheap chinese ones often do what they say on the tin, but are usually slow/clunky and sound pretty pants when running anything other than run of the mill speakers.
Didn't used to like Alpine...
I like Diesel as much as the next person.. they have their place.. but a performance car should have a revvy engine with an enjoyable power delivery...The car overall should be enjoyable.. I can...
Dude.. PLEASE just stop :annoyed:
Your right in saying excessive current will melt wiring but you fail to see a bigger battery has NOTHING to do with increasing current if no other component is...
Is the downpipe supposed to dip lower than the rest of the exhaust? My solid downpipe was always in line with the rest of the exhaust pipework, but yours seems to sit lower.. not sure if thats bad...
By the way, if anyone was interested in that Castrol Edge stuff, Halfords have it on offer with a free £40 set of screwdrivers thrown in -...
Anyone here use Castrol Edge TD? I've always been a Silkolene man, but the S2000 boys won't use anything else and rate it higher than Pro S??
Views? :)
Never used these guys but I was looking to buy some Volk Centre caps from them -

I guess you...
Only really had 2 sets of coilovers, both on different cars but I found the shocks feel stiffer for the first mile or so when its really cold out.. it was more pronounced with my Apex 6/5s, although...
Sounds like something internal on the battery has come loose/snapped? Maybe it was already under load from the terminal or yanked to one side the and slight hit of the kerb snapped it..
I wouldn't...
Thats down to poor coilover choice, not because coilovers are inherently stiffer than a spring and shock combo.. spec up the right spring stiffness and enjoy the added adjustability :)
But then...
Not sure I'd completely agree.. I went for Apex Gen2 6/5s and found I didn't need uprated ARBs, the suspension was nice and compliant but it would still corner very flat.. I scrapped plans for ARBs.....
