Is there a walk through anywhere of how to remove the clocks?
Cheers, still thinking about what to do at the moment, like you say I dont want to make a mistake by selling it and regretting it :)
I would mod it if I have the cash to spare but I dont want to spend the money on modding anymore, this is the main reason I am faling out with out with it!
I agree the car takes a degree of skill...
lol at real drivers car, a phrase that thrown around far to often!
I have not driven a modded an S14 so cant comment on one, the point is I wont be modding mine, its dead money and would rather...
Yeah I love to complain, specially when I am pissed off and this car is pissing me right off!
No thanks I wouldnt buy a brand new car, next car will be a Honda, they are fault free in my...
Then you have the mileage issue?
I am going to put a for sale post up. If it sells then I am off back to Honda. If it doesnt then I will have to keep but I am not willing to lose to much money after a short period of time so I will...
I dont suppose you have any more detail?
My wallets staying in my pocket whilst I have a serious think about what to do!
I really am a nose hair away from a gauging interest post, I still cant get over you guys just accepting the rev counter thing, its just a common fault, its fine. I never had as many probs with 5...
Personally I think failing rev counters and replacing the clocks which also messes up the mileage and causes potential resale problems is a big deal!
And mess the mileage up!
And then there is a damn good chance it will go again
Mate I appreciate the advice but I am pretty pissed with the car. When I bought it I didnt expect to have to throw money at modding it. Just wanted something out of the box and thought this was it...
Yeah thats what mine is doing.
Cant be arsed with any of that. Anyone interested in 2000 S14A with 53K!?
I want back to Honda! :annoyed:
Replace the clocks!?
Nice :(
My rev counter is on drugs! Its bouncing around like a loon! Engine behaves normal, car idles normal, just the rev counter. Its intermittent but very strange to see when it does it!
Any ideas!?

Arch enemies post is all I needed to know thanks!
Thanks to everyone else also, to put it simply, I just cant be arsed!
If it was a case of shocks/springs/alignment I would be up for it, but...
Issue is cost, PU, creaks, cost of fitting
In comparison to a simple shocks and springs set up lowered 40mm, it just seems more favourable. There is no way I am doing both
I thought the KYB shocks might have been uprated in some way over standard, if they are exactly the same I may just go for the springs and have a proper alignment done and waiit and see what happens...
Long shot but is there anyone running this combination?
I am tired of the poor handling and want to improve it on a budget, I cant be arsed with the ARB's after reading into it and this...
Maybe mate maybe, ill have a chat with my fellow petrol head friend tonight and see what he thinks, a second opinion over a few beers :D
Whatever I decide I really like this car and I feel I am...
I have no way of lifting the car to fit them, for the price of axel stands I may aswell pay someone to fit them. And as someone said before, its a slippery slope, once the arbs and rings are fitted I...
I really enjoyed reading your post, thanks :)
TBH I dont care for lowering the car for looks, I want the car to handle, if I cant get it to handle for around £500 its going early next year, which...
Bloody hell you guys are alright :notworthy thanks for all the offers :sxoc:
Thing is though, I want 350Z wheels and new tyres so that could be anywhere between £700 and a...
Kuddy, I should of metioned the ARB price includes labour, the other prices dont. My bad sorry.
I knew the Nismo kit would be favoured, you get what you pay for I guess! I really like the sound of...
