Yea that looks similar to mine although maybe mine isn't quite as bad rust wise. If somebody bought it to save I would be made up, and would probably accept less cash if it meant seeing it fixed up....
Thanks guys, I'd accept around 3k but admit I have advertised it for more than that over on the GT-R forum stating I will accept offers as I'd imagine I will end up being knocked down regardless of...
Hi - thanks for the reply. Unfortunately I don't have the time or space to break the car myself. I realise I'd lose some value by selling it whole rather than breaking it myself but that is a price...
So I've not posted on here in a good few years.. feels odds to be back ha. The blue place is now my new home, despite me swearing I would continue using this forum when I was buying the R33.. :sxoc:...
Hi
So the clutch needed replacing, which has been done. Bite point is off the floor now and all is good, but weirdly the pedal soft / hardness still varies.
Very strange, it feels like there...
Weirdly this resolved itself yesterday, driving along with no boost when suddenly it went back to usual.
I'm guessing the wastegate arm was stuck.. does this indicate the onset of any big...
Could well be plugs, how old are they? Mine was misfiring like a twat when it had crappy old plugs in
Get some quality new copper ones and set the gap right and report back.
Sounds good to me.
Maybe a stupid question, but which is the wide open position? :wack: What angle is the arm normally at with the gate closed?
I will defo check, I just want other ideas as well
Well I meant it's not hanging off :wack:
But surely if it was leaking so much as to only make 3psi, the car would be overfuelling to buggery? The car runs as well as ever just with very little boost :wack:
Hi there!
So I have a new problem with the Nissan :wack: I have a whole 3si of boost :wack:
The weird thing is, I don't think it's a boost leak as there the car is running / idling fine and...
Lol remind me never to buy a car from you :wack:
Another update -- noticing now the clutch pedal goes rock solid after hard acceleration. Thought at first it was harder just because I had replaced the crap pipework with something shorter but it's...
Booked in with Graham at DCMS on Saturday. Have full faith he will find out the problem
Of course this could be the problem.. haha. It's not slipping at all and before I fettled the hydraulics, it was fully biting very close to the bottom of the pedal travel..
Replaced slave...
Seems like it's bled ok to me.. and the pedal is rock solid now too.
The arm wiggle is minimal and I tried to look inside the clutch housing with a little torch and didn't see anything out of the...
I replaced the entire master cylinder :wack:
I might take it to a garage and get them to drop the gearbox and have a look inside, it's a bit beyond my capabilities on the driveway
Ok so I've replaced all the hydraulics now and re-adjusted the pedal. Was ok for 24 hours but seems to be catching again now..
Strange thing is, the clutch isn't fully engaged until the pedal is...
Ok so, took the dust boot off and peered inside. Couldn't see anything amiss and the lever was solid as a rock..
Think I will replace the hydraulics (including the bypass pipe thing) and see...
By the way, what sort of travel should I be seeing on the slave cylinder push rod??
By catching I meant the clutch is catching on the flywheel even with the pedal mashed into the floor. I assume the pedal is springing all the way back, it certainly feels like it is to my foot at...
Think I will fit a new master cylinder and braided lines...
Get a video up, might help us diagnose
