Have you given it a rev to see what happens? Does it smoke revving up? Or does it smoke on the over run?

My mate has same problem and used an oem bush it cost £2.50 from Nissan parts :-D

I'd say a timing issue mate but literally a couple of degrees! Try in plugging the throttle position sensor it should sort its self out then plug it back in and see what happens

So my SR'd S13 has been a right arse getting it all running etc but anyway everything is done apart from the timing :-/ for one reason or another we can't get the CAS in the right place! Even pulling...

im chaging the head gasket on my SR'd s13 but im unsure of what gasket to get :/
its going to be a metal one though as im looking at a power hike later in the year :)

yeap already done that mate ! i had it clamped down in a vice lol tried both of them and the pin comes out to engage.... soo yeah lol

the flywheel and clutch were already bolted on and seemed fine we just bolted the gearbox up and dropped it all in.... its been running fine and drives but this starting issue has just popped up .....

soo yet more issues on my SR'd s13....
the starter motor doesnt engage the flywheel.... ive tried 2 starter motors and they both do the same thing.
iv'e also hooked up both the motors to a battary...
