Hi all,
I was wondering if anyone has some practical info regarding the use of nissan 4CW crankshafts - 12200-2J200 - especially while building an S14a SR20 with a VE head conversion. These cranks...
The shorter ones are stock s14a. Front:

Must be this time of the year - I've just been working on alfa calipers on murano 320 discs (to suit 17" rims) and maserati 4200 calipers with discs to suit the s14a:

You are correct:
just under 40 mm for camber and traction arms
just under 50 mm for the toe arms
Measured on whiteline poly bushings which were fitted to a standard subframe.
Pilot bearing would be my guess. Have a read here http://www.skf.com/binary/57-61883/TT08_003.pdf
just found the thread and he used a much bigger turbo than I'd need...
Thanks Nash, will check Piman's thread. Zilvia is full of discussions and graphs but wanting to find hard evidence on how spool and power capacity compares on paper between 6258 and 6758 (and even...
Hi,
I'm looking for any hard data on the performance of smaller EFR turbos (B1 frame) on sr20det. So far I've read tons of bb pages but can't find any definitive info on sr20 performance of these...
Ok, so the the specs of the set I'll be getting for myself will be:
- stainless washers 34x5mm 12.6mm bolt hole, laser cut;
- bolts M12x1.25 grade 10.9 zinc plated;
- locking nuts M12x1.25...
I'll let you know soon - already got a quote for turned ones and am waiting for laser cut as an alternative.
I'll forward a question to my friend who will be manufacturing them regarding full specs and a price. I'll let you know as soon as I get feedback.
Thanks for the help Jon, I'll get them done at 34x5mm.
btw. if needed I could get a few more sets done (in stainless) including bolts and nuts.
Sorry for hijacking the thread but can anyone confirm which diameter of the washer will fit best - 34mm or 34.5mm? I'm having a set done soon but can't raise the back of the car at the moment to...
One more option to consider are maserati 3200/4200 4pot brembo front calipers, dependent on their pricing in the UK. They can be coupled with 330x32 discs from a maserati or ferrari 456 (what they...
What about the borg warner EFR range? The 6258 seems to be a very interesting turbo, not as bolt on as the above mentioned, but has some very interesting features and very low amounts of lag.
Have you taken a look at your blow off valve? It's difficult to say from the video but my s14a gives very similar symptoms, especially after a gear change/hitting the rev limiter etc and it's a...
Well we'll see how it goes. Anyways you just gave me another thing to try out once I'm on the road, I just have doubts if the rear brakes (stock with 290mm discs) will be up to it. Perhaps it's time...
The hurst valve is just a cutoff for the front brakes but I'm lead to believe that it can also help with launching. Idea is to block the front wheels, lift the clutch a bit so that weight can...
I can't get the car of the ground at the moment so it's the best I can do:

I haven't responded to the topic in some time but I did start with some actions according to all the feedback I've been given. Basically I decided to go along with the basics starting with rear...
Will try lower psi then and will get some adjustable arms too (just don't know if I should aim for a full set or it won't make a difference if I just get camber arms?).
Basically I just want the car...
Car lights up both rear tires while launching so I reckon the diff is ok. Regarding tire pressure I can try and go lower than 32 psi, however I don't think this is actually recommended for everyday...
Minimum preload on the spring and just a click or two from the softest settings on the Monopro. Regarding pressure in the tires I'm running a bit less than I think I should - around 2.2 - 2.3 bar.

Coilovers you mean? If so than they are one or two clicks from the softest setting. Tires are warmed up prior to launch...
