Thank you so much for the advice.
Sounds a little complicated but I'll give it a go this weekend.
I will do an oil change as suggested just to be sure but just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone who offered advice.
Coming back to this forum after nearly 8 years but everyone is still...
Okay there's good news. Used a long extension bar as a stethoscope and the noise is loudest on the passenger side rocker cover right at the front.
Noisy lifter?

Just as a reference this is a knocking RB20 but mine sounds very different to that.
Will try draining oil and also using the hose to hear where the knock is this...
My rev gauge is broken LOL but if I hold it steady at low revs you do hear it. Also hear it on idle. Revving up slowly you hear it. Once it revs past 2500 or so it goes away.
You mean like look for bits of bearings in the oil?
Thanks for that info. Will try that.
Did you have damage to the crank? Or was it just a case of replacing the bearings?
Hi mate. Thanks for replying. That's good to hear. As far as I can tell the noise seems to be coming from near the front of the engine. Not the top ebd but further down somewhere.
Any advice greatly appreciated. Engine is RB20DET by the way.

Thanks guys. The circlip was what I had missed. Got it off now. Cheers.
Trying to put an rb bellhousing on my rb20 powered s13 but I'm lost.
Is there a guide?
How do I get the bellhousing off? It seems a lot more complicated than I expected.
Cool vid. Sick bitch!
Steve lost his mobile. I spoke to him today.
He is still here. Try Emailing him or PM'ing him.
I have nothing but praise for the guy. He is an asset to the UK tuning scene!!!
Nans was awesome in the snow!!! We spent a good 5 hours there.
Wooooohoooo!!! It is fixed!!! :D
Cheers Damo for your advice
Tightened up the adjustable actuator and now it is faaaaaaaaaaaaaast!!! :D
Making 15 psi by 4000 rpm and peaking at...
Not yet mate. Don't have electrics so can only work on car on weekends. Gonna wake up 6 am Sat and check.
I know mate but what choice do I have?
Sold my T28 and worked my ass off to make this turbo fit.
Can the housing from the S14 be used?
Here is the AFR graph :)

I am gonna try changing the actuator and also take off all the pipework to see if there are any boost leaks.
Any other suggestions will be appreciated.
Here is my graph 3 months ago with stock...
Before I fitted my Pulsar GTIR T28 I searched on here to see what they were like but didn't find many dyno graphs. So I thought of sharing the results.
What are your opinions on the graph?
I do...
Got some more power compared to my post above ^^ :D
Got Nistune ECU and mapped by Steve Sadler at FC Tuning :notworthy

FYI I fitted a pulsar t28 to my car over the weekend and the compressor housing is identical to the s14 t28. They are both .60 A/R housings :)
