The stock EVO manifold is perfect. It is a fantastic, race breed design.
I reckon you compared your t28 to much bigger turbo as TD05-16g can flow max 390 bhp (1.5bar of boost IIRC)

There's no point getting all that 350bhp whatever power. It's all about the balance and responsiveness, not power. I rate my CA18 at about 330 bhp now and so what, 270 was same good and even better...
I've had s-bodies in various engine configurations and I must say that the best ever I had was the one with sr20, t28r turbo, walbro, exedy organic clutch, fmic, chip, big diameter zorst and filter....

My battered s15 turbo would tell you Matt who's right. I couldn't see any built in restrictor there and one I got for new turbo was like a pin hole, worked well with another s15 turbo since.
