Thanks for the reply, it's a later Japanese digital odo one, I just took the ecu apart but to be honest the boards both looked good in terms of solder I'll look at the loom next then, thanks again

Hi guys, I was just wondering thoughts on a problem with a jumpy speedo and sometimes rev counter on my 1996 180sx. It seemed to happen after mapping and as such I wondered if the best place to look...
Horrid car
Aren't there only about 2 different cars in the WRC these days?
This surprises me, I would have had this the other way round...
No, no it doesn't, would much rather have one of these.. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/2003/Vauxhall-VXR-220.html
Thanks, much appreciated :)
About 14 days! lol
Think you have to pay a fee to cancel anyway but good thinking and I'll see what's what, cheers :)
Yeah Mark, I guessed that would be the get out... :(
Thing is, as you say, surely they could "mispost" loads of renewals and give rediculously high quotes... Quite a number of people might not...
Hi guys, just wondering what I should do here...
Basically I was paying in the region of £800 for my 180sx last year (Feb renewal.) In December I decided to take the SX off the road for a tidy up...
That's just rubbish, how many old Rovers are in the scrap yards compared to old Foresters? Millions, I should know! Just looked at the Foresters and they are about double the price for the same...
I did say 'V' Plate...
Far superior to the earlier Honda V6 Vitesse having driven both extensively... In terms of grunt, economy, handling (much revised) and also had no problems with...
Just looked, the Forester is more expensive for the same year, worse on fuel, more to go wrong with 4WD, much slower, uglier...
On the plus side for the Forester are a bit more storage room maybe,...
The other petrol cars would drink just as much in fuel as the (petrol) Vitesse despite it's much greater power... That's what I meant and you know it...
They are as sensible a choice, because,...
Rover Vitesse on a V Plate...
30 MPG doable fine...
Loads of room and comfy...
Cheap and plenty owned by old men...
7.3 0-60 , 143MPH top speed and with much better handling than you'd...
Cheers guys, drove home last night 45 miles of mainly motorway in 6th but with a 10 min hold up and it cost me.... £4.40!!!
getting mid 40s MPG on the motorway seems easy so far :D
Notice it...
That's one train of thought to be honest!! :)
Yeah, enjoying the drive so far, feels smooth, connected, communicative and very reactive.
Not sure whether anyone has mentioned it on this thread but the engine is not massively powerful - it...
Surely if you were paranoid as I suggested, you wouldn't have a "gay" car? I think you have misunderstood.
Hairdresser - Tired old gag from a tired old fag? :D
Yeah this would be great I can imagine from driving it now how much better it would be! People also sneak the 3.0 Camry engine in and make it sound :smitten: but I *may* lose a fair bit of the...
Elise... Fuel economy would only be near on a K Series one I hear, plus the fact that they are older/more expensive/more battered...
Not sure why you are so paranoid about looking gay? Are you...
I know it's regarded as a cr*p car on here, but I actually quite like the way it behaves on the road, and will net me 40+MPG on the motorway so I'm not too bothered... It's not mega powerful, but...
Puma?
...and bought an MR2 Mk3 - The needle just doesn't move! I intend to "refresh" the 180 while driving this car to work.. (Mine is the dark grey one...)
