in the case of the 14a i noticed a bigger difference changing the downpipe and removing the front cat than when I removed the main cat.

i have also done the elbow now but only as i got a tomei...

I had the same problem on my TD wheels. When you reinstall them use a bit of copper grease on the rear face to stop them seizing

i used the larger of the 2 Bov bung's with a little sealant to hold it in place.


My intention is to drill and tap it for a bee sting ariel

found the perfect part.....

timing chain guide bracket!!!!! the z shape is the perfect length to fit between the exhaust bracket and the rubber mounting.

ok fitted the tomei elbow and japspeed downpipe.

Does anyone know what the support bracket thats welded on the j/speed downpipe is meant to bolt to?

its about 3" short of being able to bolt to...

do they really work?

i also did a bit of searching on the net and according to Nengun and tomei sites, tomei only do an S14 elbow so i'll get an S14 downpipe and sell my s14a version.

been trying to fit a tomei extreme elbow and having a few issues getting the downpipe back on.

I'm wondering if the elbow is an s14 as it looks longer than the stock old...

I'm fitting a tomei elbow to my S14a and I would like to support it (a bit like the OEM elbow that has a bracket to the gearbox) to try and relieve a bit of the strain on the tubular manifold.

Greddy 'style' inlet manifold similar to units now sold by Apex. Theory is that it improves air flow. I have the Apex version...
