Got a project s13 and the previous owner cut the plug off with the 2 wires that go to the gray plug on the alternator.

I have a new plug of an almera but the colour of the wires is different.

cool so the carrier is the same but the release bearing is different? is that right

can i use the release bearing and carrier from a CA gearbox or CA bearing carrier and s14 bearing

or do i need to get both items from an s14?

i dont understand whats different, is the turbo in a different place on the sr20 or does the CA elbow not bolt to the 180sx t25g turbo?

problem is the mongoose exhaust doesn't have a flange between the down pipe and cat back - its clamped together

is it a case of cutting and re welding?

Im putting a redtop sr20det from a 180sx into a ca uk s13.

the car has a CA mongoose exhaust from the turbo elbow back.

Can i fit the full exhaust with CA elbow to the SR?

looks good but i would imagine they are rubbish at night as they would be too low

it maybe be that the gasket is ok and the nuts have just come a little loose, had this before

see if you can get to some of the nuts and try and tighten them up

the one nearest your phone goes from the inlet manifold to the alternator mounting bracket

i would rather a redtop loom and ecu as the black tops are a bit different and involve more work wiring into a uk s13

basically im going to put a redtop sr into an s13, and my mate has a s14a engine loom I could have.

I would have thought all the plugs would fit the redtop engine even if some of the wires need...

As above really, i can imagine i would need to swap some wires on the ecu plug but will an s14a loom bolt to a redtop sr20det ECU?

How do you mean hit or miss -90% of the time they will not show an error code when they are actually faulty?

Does nt seem to be leaking from round the injectors - a mate has a snap on fault code reader, i take it you dont need a fancy unit to check the live data.
