Could be wrong, but didn't Norris Designs do an uprated version that retained oem location?
Good luck finding one though!

It's never going to be really finished, but I would like to get it back into a drivable state :D
Did some stuff. Must be getting old as I decided to Dynamat the hell out of the floor and...
Still ongoing, very, very slowly. Not had a chance to get down to the car for a bit, but some of the interior is ready to go back in next. Will hopefully get a decent update for you all soon :)

And slapped some paint on even...
Dal worked his magic as usual :notworthy, he relocated the original mounts further back which also allowed the use of a standard gearbox crossmember. Box is now at a more sensible height and the...
So what do you do, once you make the firewall nice and solid again? Correct:nod:

Next shot is the engine and box back in with the mount that comes with the kit, note how low the box...

I'm so JDM that YouTube is targeting me with Japanese language adverts :D
Not much has been going on......anywhere recently.....but behold! An update!
My cage has been inside my car so long...
Thumbnail-tastic update :wack: :D
Thanks :)
Progress has been slow but steady. Loom is basically done, engine has turned but not started just yet. I'm still not super happy with the engine and gearbox position, so decided to...
Thanks for the info, having checked I do seem to have a PWM signal from my stock ECU but its 0 to 5v, no mention of hz. Maybe it would be simpler to get a controller from the original vehicle. ...
Great Stuff Jezz, both cool ideas.
I could actually do with a pump controller too, so you just worked out what it was doing on the pico scope and hooked it up to the relevant relays needed, no...
Gearbox wise we have a CD009 of CD01 vintage that is internet rated to 900bhp.....apparently. A single plate clutch good for 670ft lbs is in between ready for a turbo swap down the line, so we will...
Jonny may have point, but I think I've chosen well for anti lunching ability. Lets see :D
Since that fitted picture was taken the engine had been in and out a number of times for further...
Still can't be sure really, but some kind of oil pump failure or oil starvation issue is most likely.
So what shall I replace it with I thought. A Mazworx SR could have been interesting route. Also love V8 sound and character, but I think I'd have wanted to twin turbo it, one thing would have led...

Cheers for the offer Andy, but I've lost count the number of times I rebuilt the CA now, and I'm pretty well committed to the new route. After lots of research I think its the best. I'll always...

Well that came apart swiftly, nice update.
Great stuff Daz :)
Start zapping :smash:
Oh well. Was actually looking forward to this. Maybe next month :)
