Team japspeed to drift at top gear live 2012! 25th-28th october
As news goes, this is pretty special! After wowing the crowds with our indoor drift displays at Top Gear Live 2011 we are pleased to announce that we have been invited back to do it all over again at the Birmingham NEC for Top Gear Live 2012 on October 25th-28th!
Taking place at the Birmingham NEC Arena on 25-28th October. Top Gear Live is one of the world’s most-exciting indoor displays; combining the best elements of the hit TV show including Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May, Star in a Reasonably Priced car and of course The Stig. To make this spectacle even better, Top Gear Live has included a range of different motorsport displays for 2012 including Team Japspeed’s awesome drift display! Not only that but this year's show will also be the debut for our 2JZ-powered Maxxis Tyres Lexus IS200 in a battle of the giants with our Monster Energy V8 S15!
“We weren’t sure exactly how drifting would be perceived by such a new audience” explained Japspeed manager Paul McCallum after last year’s event, ”but every single show was a complete success – the crowds went wild, both Jeremy Clarkson and Tiff Needell couldn’t believe how close the team drifts and the whole team performed faultlessly”.
With the popularity of drifting constantly on the rise, the Top Gear Live shows are a perfect way for us to demonstrate to thousands of spectators what the sport of drifting is all about. For the many attendees who will have never seen drifting before, what better way is there to be acquainted with the sport than by watching the spectacle that the Team Japspeed cars will be putting on!
