Hey guys. My current setup is K Sport 8 pot callipers and 330mm discs up front, and standard rear brakes at the back but with EBC pads and discs etc. I still have the ABS but I am planning on removing it.
I am thinking of going Z32 rear callipers. Heard they are a good upgrade, but will I need the BM57 master cylinder aswell? Only ask as my front brakes are so powerful I rarely use the rears. But I presume the new master cylinder will help.

Changing the BMC only changes the distribution of brake force from front and rear. I think the bm57 send more to the rear cause on the z32 the rears are 2 pot compared to the standard 1 pot on the s14. I've up graded my rears to z32 without changing the BMC and it works well but it could be better again with the bm57

Very worthy upgrade and cost effective. Could also consider another K Sport kit.
It also has a larger piston diameter (1 1/16" vs 1") so moves more fluid and makes for a nicer pedal feel when you've got 6/8 pots up front and 2 pots at the rear. Or there's always the Auto Select 1 1/8" version :)Quote:

I think I'll change mine aswell from the reviews above. Is there any other BMC that work. I'm sure The bm57's are getting pretty rare. Can the BMC from a 350z be fitted?

I bought 2 bm57s from them when I was on holiday in aus and both are fitted and work great. Was about £80 each. Brand new why buy a 20 year old one and you also have the choice to swap it to non abs by removing a grub screw.

350z BMC is a different design, you would need to modify the pedal/BMC brackets. I think the bolts and nuts are the oposite way around, the piston connection is also different.(can't remember but I will post pictures of the two side by side.
I was planning on using 350z pedal though so this might have been an issue also, ended up just getting a manual cars pedal and oem BMC.
