how much do you do a general remap/checks for gary. baring in mind that it was last mapped by you guys?
depends on whats needed mate,few runs to tweak a map up to £200 ish
if you changed turbo and cams then up to £300
injectors you on a full map £400
the spec is still the same just want it checked over really gary.
Will it be ok to drive down to yourselfs with the bigger injectors? The power fc i have has got a map for a standard SR20 currently on it, will i need to do anything on the commander so it will run correctly?
is that £400 more or less a fixed figure for a new map? I will be bringing my car to you guys after being recommend to you by another member. Spec will be as follows:
87mm cp pistons (8.5:1)
Eagle rods
Acl bearings
Standard crank
Gt2871r 0.86
740cc nismo injectors
Z32 maf
260 poncams
I'm a bit of a boost junky so would like as much boost as safely possible :thumbs:
Ideally i'd like to aim for 400@fly, possible?

yes £400 is what it will be as we will have to start from beginning.
we will try for as much power but with your spec you wont make 400bhp on our dyno
as for injectors we would prefer for you to get it trailered to us,the base map the power fc has isnt that close and thats even if it hasnt been altered
the power fc is already mapped for 2871 0.64, 555's and z32. Also have someone that can do me a safe map as need to run the engine in first so should be able to drive to you.
Also am unsure which head gasket to go for, any advice?
Just another quick question guys, is it worth getting the apexi boost control kit to work with the pfc rather than a seperate ebc?
I know this is a late reply, sorry for not seeing it sooner.
There are pros and cons to both.
For ease and to keep things simple, a valve controller by the PFC is a reasonable way of doing it, but overall, I think I'd suggest a separate boost controller, as the control of it is far more definable, depending of course on which device you go for.
