Been helping my mate get the box off his 180 redtop project all the box seems to do is spin wont fully separate any tips???
Both box and engine are out the car on his unit floor he never put them together but alot on this cars been built by a idiot (wont name and shame)
sounds like you are going to have to get a pry bar each side of the belhousing/engine gap and 'walk' it off.
itll be grabbing on the spigot bearing. Worth checking that it hasnt had a pull type clutch fitted as well, could need that releasing first.
It is possible it shouldn't spin if butted up to the engine. Should it have dowels so the gearbox lines up properly?
