Nice new front rods:D:notworthy :notworthy Well my bushes had gone so I went for the adjustables;)
Will get them on tomorrow
Them dam front arms! I tried to take off the oldies and the front bolt dont budge
it has rusted itself to the metal sheath in the bush. When I tried to turn it the
bush just ripped . I will attack it with an angle grinder tomorrow cos ive tried
everything else!! Talking of grinding I decided to take one to the bootlid and get
that done lookin OK ish.

The photo hides alot, its far far from perfect, but when a FRP boot is in the pipeline it will do for a while. gotta add more filler yet though!

Still need oil pressure and temp, they will come when i fit oil cooler and plate.
Great work I would have given up by now, I nearly did give up with mine but it got rescued by a small rectangular piece of plastic ;)
its getting there mate! good work!
Just a quick update . Got myself a nice black roof . This has confirmed my choice for the bootlid to go black too. Also fixed a split pipe I had from the turbo oil return pipe, it was leaving an annoying drip on the floor .
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n.../blackroof.jpg
That was all I could do tonight....got roped into doing my girls brakes on her E30
did you weld the boot lid or is that just filler and wire mesh?
Nah its all filler, mesh and two plates of metal at the top what I put in place with.....wait for it.....filler:)
Its update time:thumbs: but first I have to post this speed cam outside my
work, does exactly what it says on the tin!!
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...tsaysonthe.jpg

Yes I am the numpty with the grinder:wave:
Lined up the new rods so they are same length as oldies till I get the
geometry done
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...os/oldnnew.jpg
And presto! On
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...os/newarm1.jpg
Thats about it for now, few bits and bobs then its off to weld. Judging by
my previous welding attempts:wack: I think im gonna get someone else to do it, so If anyone can recommend a good/cheap welder in the east london essex area let me know!
Hey peeps! Just picked my car up today from the welders. 7 miles now covered on the new engine run in, so far so good:)
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...7milesback.jpg
I still need more work (and paint!) on that bootlid. I never had any pictures of the rusty sills cos I was too ashamed of them:no: but here is the finished articles:
Right

Upside down left
http://i113.photobucket.com/albums/n...s/leftsill.jpg
I can assure you they look ten times better than the black patchwork that used to be there:nod: Also done was a patch on the chassis rail and a spot on the passenger floor. Gonna Go give it a hover out cos its covered in dog hair on the inside fit a few more bits and clean it up.....more pics later today:D
good stuff mate  next on my list is to sort all the rust:)
in process of doing all the rust on mine what a pain, all mines on the front right arch lol welding time me thinks.
Been Fiddling. I attempted to fit and ebay front strut but whilst fitting it I realised just how crap it is. It fouls the brake reservior and doesnt actually look like It will keep it stiff anyway so its going back where it belongs........on ebay.
I also fitted my leather nismo knob to replace the one I tore earlier on and got
my head unit in
