180SX Copper fuel and brake pipes?

Hey guys

Currently restoring a 180SX. The fuel and pipe lines are shot.

Planning to replace with 8mm and 6mm basic copper pipes.

Can you think of any reason not to use Copper please?

Galvonic potential shouldn't be a problem as copper will be isolated from steel.

Petrol and brake fluid are obviously corrosive, but it shouldn't have any more of a corrosive effect than with steel?

Any other thoughts?

by copper I assume you mean cunifer? if so its fine.

Copper is a bit old school now and the copper nickel alloy (Kunifer) is the pipe of choice. Its still DIY friendly & flarable with hand tools and is less prone to cracking.

Copper cracks, Kunifer is better.

Fuel pipes can be replaced with rubber hose front to back, cable tied to brake pipe. Make sure its rated for E15+.

I wouldn't be fitting coper fuel pipe as E10 is more reactive than E5 and they are pushing harder for E10 to be introduced. With current low oil prices ethanol is way dearer than petrol so the fuel makers will be resisting the move. But E10 will be on forecourt in next 5 years and the only stuff that can be easily obtained in about 10 years.

I would think that you then only have fuel tank, fuel pump, filter and injector o-rings to worry about for E10.
