Finally! CA18DET to VG transmission adaptor kits

Thanks to a great SXOC member Vaughn, he sent us a bellhousing for the CA18DET and we have now begun production on the VG transmission adaptor kits. We should have a few ready by the end of next week.

As far as machining the bellhousing is concerned, you either have the options of sending it to us to do it or we will provide the diagram for your local machine shop to do it for you.

The kit will consists of exactly what the SR kits do

Adaptor plate
Crossmember
Shifter Bracket
Shifter
1 piece steel Driveshaft (Options are aluminum $250.00USD or carbon fiber $599.00USD)
All necessary hardware

The kits will be $1260.00USD or $859.80GBP Door to nearest airport or $1325.00USD $904.23GBP.

There are not many of us CA users over 400bhp and needing this sort of thing, I've just got 3 spare SR boxes and hope they will last the season :wack:

And what with Mobne still running a stock CA gearbox....

So you guys rather break/replace, break/replace,break/replace than to break/replace on time and be over with it?

Personally speaking, I like working on my car when something breaks, that's why I enjoy messing with a stock CA. Although in fairness, that is yet to break. Same goes for my stock gearbox...

When it breaks, I have spares. Another CA box = £50. If a stock CA box can withstand 700+rwhp for even a month, that leaves a fair amount of room for most people running a modded S13.

You only waited 19 hours before bumping the thread, give people a chance dude :)

No, not really but £1000 is:

10 OE boxes.
or
4 test days
or
pay of the entry fees for Time Attack from the credit card
or....


And syncro's still die on boxes as/more often than the gears themselves when track racing them

If this kit was available when I bought my giken kit i'd have gone for this setup.

i'll be going for one of these when my gearbox decide to give up, so more than likely within the first 3 laps at japfest. anyone got a spare 300zx box :D

Remember that mobne has NO grip. no grip = no load on gearbox.
Is it possible to use all bellhousing bolts on this?

What do you mean all bellhousing bolts?

If you send your bellhousing to Mazworx it will cost you about £85

how much would a z32 box be if bought with the conversion kit? As mentioned what are the syncro's like on the z32 box as it is been used as a track car?

We offer inspected and cleaned Z32 used trans. for 750.00USD.

When we were racing our Drag S14, this is the same box that was used with no major issues. It will take abuse. Although it has been heard that the 4th gear synchros on the older trans tend to go bad. There are 2 options available.

You can upgrade to the newer double synchros and we can install the it in there for you for a small fee.

Or we offer brand new 96 Z32 boxes which have all the newer double synchros on it.
