Hi,
I am Steve,

Just to let you know there will be a Jap meet that I am organising for the date on the subject title. It will be along the lines of the Reading one organised by Def (which is held monthly 2nd Tuesday of each month).

I am looking at doing it first Wednesday of each month, but for certain reasons, this one is a thursday just to confuse you :p

I would appreciate it if you could also let me know of other Jap forums that it may be worth me putting this on also. Either by email or pm (but obviously the pm box doesnt take much to fill up)

I will let you know the location nearer the time, I just have a few details to sort. (Dont worry , the police are happy with it :) ) At the moment though it looks like it will be in Abingdon
But Didcot may be a back up location.

Thanks,
Steve

Good idea. Been looking for meets around oxford. And a general jap meet would mean i dont feel out of place turning up with my H*nda :)

A few of my friends are interested too so keep us posted

let us know when you get an exact location......

wolvercote, by the river is also a good spot for a meet

Hi :)

I know the trout at wolvercote is a popular location, turned out too popular when my scoob club tried to meet there on a sunday LOL

At the moment unless anything goes wrong, its going to be the Fairacres retail park carpark Just off the A34 at the Abingdon junction (Marcham interchange) at 7pm, and as I would like to make this a monthly thing, I ask that everyone be on best (ish) behaviour so as not to stop it after the first one. If its a success, I will look at the turnout and maybe look for better locations etc. This first one is to try to get the interest going in a meet thats local to us for a change LOL

And then maybe a few more faces will be known for if we bump into each other at the Reading one of Defs

Hi :)

I know the trout at wolvercote is a popular location, turned out too popular when my scoob club tried to meet there on a sunday LOL

the car park i'm on about is just the otherside of the bridge.....

and yeah the trout gets very busy and isn't a good place to meet.

Sounds like a good plan. I was wondering where the biggest car park in Abingdon was and I thought it was either the Homebase one or the Police Station. :D

Steve, were we travelling back from April's Reading meet together? I think I was holding you up for a while because after you overtook me, it was pretty hard to keep up. Scooby's just don't care about the rain do they?!!

where abouts is it in oxfordshire then??i might pop down if its next week :)

maverick

It's south Oxfordshire. About 8 miles south of Oxford, and right next to Didcot.

hadyn
25-05-2004, 16:51
any directions from the west midlands chief?

maverick
25-05-2004, 17:01
Haydn, you want to get onto the M40 and head south. Before you get to Bicester, you will see signs for the A34 to Newbury and the M4. Take that junction and head south on the A34. After about 10 miles, you'll see a sign that says Abingdon North; don't take that junction, but take the next one. The sign will say Millets Farm Centre, Abingdon, and Dalton Barracks. Take the first left off the roundabout, and then the first left off the next roundabout, and the first left again (this time not a roundabout). You should find yourself in a whole world of Homebase car park. :)

DEF I dont know if Steveeee is coming, he hasnt said anything yet

Dont forget this on Thursday 3rd JUNE incase any of you get the wrong thursday :p

Fairacres retail car park, just off A34 at Abingdon (marcham interchange) from 7pm.

When you leave A34 head towards Abingdon (East) imediately on your left is the car park (Homebase/mays/argos are there.), but you need to go to next roundabout, turn left, then turn first left again , then you come into car park by Mays and Vineys.

We will be over on the side of carpark that has no shops. (Main road side that you could see after leaving A34)
Please be on best behaviour because dont want to make first time, the last.

Thanks,
Steve
