Ask one of the lads here. I'm sure they would love to come and polish your body work. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

But seriously, when my car is clean.... I use Turtle Wax Emerald Finish. It does come up good, although I also hear some good things about Wonderwax.

The trick is to take your time, thoroughly clean your car and then only wax it when it's dry.

You could also try the Wax on Wax off technique. That way, at the same time you learn self defence. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif

Hi SuzyQ, and welcome http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

To keep your car shiny for ever (or thereabouts)
1. Never take it through a car wash
2. Wash it often (by hand, using car shampoo - not fairy liquid)
3. Wax it at least once a month
4. but tyre shine on the tyres - It really finishes it off

Hard work, but it does the job http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

As for cleaning, I personally avoid the carwash and have not used it on my 200

Stick to a good ol' bucket of warm water, some simple Halford Car Shampoo and a good ol sponge and put ya back into it girl and give it a good scrub http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Welcome to the site!

Hi Suzy,
Welcome on this international Board!
Like sais Jackal, time is the important thing.
I will not be of much use to you, as we don't have here the same products as you...
But I can give you a tip for the alloys:
I use oven (owen? #"$@!!! don't remember the word!! - the cube in your kitchen where you put things to cook in!) ...
Well, oven cleaner do it very well on the alloys, and is way far cheaper than alloy-specific cleaner you can buy in specialized shops.
Don't forget to wash very well your alloys after that. The result is really impressive.

Hope it helps (and you understood my English!)

Cheers

Thanks for the tip, but I think I'll stick to 'Muc Off', you can get it in bike shops ( I do a bit of mountain biking to keep my legs in trim).

Muc off is pink (very girlie really) and is fantastic and is NOT harmfull to you skin. Go and try it !

I always uses the autoglym, very good polish, though it does require some elbow greese to put on and take off. The results are well worth it though......

s13 and s14 are the 2 types of 200SX.
s13 is the "old shape 200sx"
It has pop-up lights (and is much more beautiful than s14s http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif), while s14 has "normal" lights (and is much less beautiful than a s13 http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif)
Of course, there are other discrepancies, like the engine, but nothing important for a bird http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Just joking s14 guys -keep smiling!-

Auto glym range - very good, if not a little expensive. Tend to use products by a company called auto smart personally.

Not tried the wheel repair stuff.

You drive the later model S14a which has a more aggressive look at the front (which I think is better looking) , to be exact, its a face lift of the original S14.

Earlier versions are known as S13, styled more like a coupe which have pop up headlights a bit like the Toyota MR2. I you know what they look like.

SuzyQ - Welcome to the board - Your response to the rear end action post has broken new ground for this board and will probably ensure you get plenty of responses!!!

I wish to pick your local knowledge (or that anyone else within the vicinity for that matter)

- Do you know of decent tyre supplier local to guilford as I now work in Cobham and need a new set of tyres V. soon and my weekends have been too busy to get it done back in Essex?

I've been enjoying rear end action of a different kind!

Seems to be going off topic here. If you can't be bothered to polish it yourself - and with British weather like it is, I am sometimes one of them, a decent car valet service helps. Got mine valeted a fortnight ago and it came up a brilliant white.

Other tips, keep wax off the windows. You can get glass polish, but I always use Windowlene, or professional Glass cleaner (You can pick this up from any glass company) Clean glass always adds the finishing touch.

And yes, only an idiot would tyre slip his tread.

Believe it or not, I have done this once with a Compact Disc repair kit. It needs reapplying every now and then, but does the job.

Spoofing IP addresses is not as difficult as it sounds, although I don't know how to do it, I saw it done when we had our Network penetration tested.

DHCP! They may have the same ISP! Not trying to defend anyone, but every dicussion needs an answer for both sides.

B.T.W. I have a static I.P address configured on my laptop, but how many I.P addresses have you seen on the similar ones with the most posts. Don't want to give my subnet away.

Geeze its easy to play with IP addresses so no one ever spots ya! If only the last bit changed then something 'fishy; is going on, as this could be ANYWHERE in the world, but just so happens..

I think they are on a network running DHCP, no NAT (as this would make it look the same IP), and just logging off their network.. releasing the IP (unless specified to keep for X days).
