Goddamnit, just come off a cold and I've got another one already. Got that whole bodily ache thing going on where I just feel uncomfortable no matter what. I'm also tired, but then it's 4:25am. Why the bloody hell am I not asleep? Because I have no al-ki-hol and am not too tired http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/frown.gif First thing tomorrow, I'm off to the offy to buy up their smirnoff ice collection and make a day of it. Hopefully I can make self forget about blocked nose and stuff and sit back and watch what appears to be 3.95 Gb of videos I've downloaded - ooh lots of InitialD stuff! Yay! If anyone here has WinMX, I'm called andyf_bjhd237663&*(&!"£ or something stupid it appears to amend literally a load of crap to the end of my nick. still if you do a search for 180sx_drift.wmv you should find me - I've shared about 1gb of video stuff and the like. So anyway what's a good anti-cold symptom cure thing as I feel poo poo right now. SteveC drinks Lemsip but then he's a bit odd innit and I dont want none of that stuff. Rioght im off to watch this gideo

Paracetamol and lots of alcohol, preferably whiskey. Take 3 Paracemtol, and drink a bottle of whiskey, preferably a good single malt. First you start to feel better and then you pass out. Trust me, I work for a pharmaceutical company. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Normally a very (just bearable) hot bath, then under the sheets and sweat like a pig and try to sleep much helps best for me.
My Doctor always says: A flu takes one week to cure if you take pills etc...
If you don't it takes seven days...

Oh by the way, I ran a hot bath when I got up (about 4:30pm) and over-did it a bit, came out and felt very bad, pretty much like the time I was at the gym and was swimming loads then jumping in the hot tub, sauna and having a hot shower when I got out. I'm pretty sure I experienced heat fatigue and it wasn't pleasant - had kinda the same thing after. Had to lie straight down or I felt like I'd pass out in a bad way. Also drank a quick pint of cold water seeing as I hadn't drunk anything for about 12 hours.

7 days = week where I come from! Unless you mean a 5-day week ?

I think it means there is no cure for flu. The pills only alleviate the symptoms.

It's kind of a joke. Simply means the pills do nothing more than maybe make you feel better. The cure takes just as long as if you don't take them.

A hot beechams powder
A good shot of wiskey
A spoonful of honey
It makes you feel absolutely great!!
1/4oz of best Morroccan crumbled into a mug of hot chocolate, fortified with as much Brandy as you like.
Might not clear your cold, but it will clear your consciousness.

We are currently manufacturing a drug to treat Paranoid Schizoprenia (Clozapine)
One of the known side effects, is death. This is why all patients who are prescribed it are placed on a nationaql register to keep them monitored.
But a lot of anti depressants have decongestant properties and can really make you feel better if you have a cold.
I once got given something by one of our lab gurus, when I had a bad cold. I was dancing on the roof tops for the rest of the day, but my cold certainly disappeared.

Benefit of working for a Pharmaceutical company is that you don't always have to get a prescription for err.. prescription drugs, but obviously I haven't said that.
B.T.W. Ibuprofen is prescribed at 600mg strength. This equates to 3 nurofen.
