I may well finally make a swindon meet now. My car is in the body shop as we speak so should hopefully be ready by the 8th June. I aint been to a 200 meets for yonks, or a Swindon one at all :rolleyes: So hopefully i'll make it :nod:

well today i brought my nice new shiny 2ton engine hoist ,this will be lifting in my nice shiny new engine hopefully this week,im still painting my engine bay since i havent got an engine in at the moment i can walk aroung her insides and give her a good lick of paint ,plus im waiting for my stainless manifold to come got 4 more days yet im excited i hope it gives me even more POWER.
it will go like hell,well until i put a rod through the side again gulp.
so will anybody be doing any kind of short races for money i got a few hundred to bet with???

it's done around 118,000 miles is now standard exept for mongoose exhaust and chassis dynamics lowering springs . body work is in average condition but there is a bit of rust appearing under the drivers side rear window and although the boot has been treated it really needs to be done properly . there is a slight leak coming from the boot hinge at the top also.

the engine has noisy hydraulic lifters but i have been driving it like that since october

yeah, did the FBU. Only took 2 mins to do. As for increase in power - not sure. It's hard to remember what it was like before, and I hardly ever get the boost pressure above 10psi with normal driving, even beating the odd charver off the lights. I would guess that it would be more noticable if I had de-restricted the exhaust a bit, since the turbo can't really spool up in time to make use of the extended boost range. I have some spare hose if you wanna go for it on yours. :smash:

Doesn't ever seem to spike, but I think I will upgrade to a bren device next month once I have changed my insurance. I had a load of mods planned, but they are mostly gonna be on hold now that I am supposed to be saving up for the wedding... :rolleyes:
