View Full Version : Reading May meet 18th (Please read)
As most know the meet was almost closed by the Retail park owners due to cruises invading Readings retail parks and turning them in to mad max 4 :whip:
Although we dont have that problm it seems they are unable to tell the diffarance. :confused:
I have never recieved a complaint from the Police who dont have a problem with it and I WILL FIND A NEW VENUE SOON. :)
For now take it as the Comet next to the madejski stadium M4 j11
but be prepared to move next door to the Madejki stadium car park itself.

you might be on to something with the costco car park as i dont think they are open late!!! i cant remember if any barriers etc...
needs looking into... any one runing any where near that in the evenings?

What's the big park thingy at the end of the A329? any space there?
edited to say, I think it's called Thames Valley park
Will drive past and scope out the area 2morrow, pretty sure there are no barriers and the area infront of the tyre fitting bays is huge and mostly empty.
NikB it is Thames Valley Park but unfortunatley it is not a suitable place as security is tight.
Good points Pops, Chris and Fame but tvp is out,the winnersh station, retail park and cinama are as well.
Madejski is lookin good with Cosco as backup but cosco is open till 9pm!!!
Any1 fancy picking me up and having a drive around just Pm me but i think the madejski stadium is an idea with tgi fridays coming in 2nd and cosco as back up :)

yeah i'll be there, not sure what in, be either a new s13 (if i find one), in someone elses 200 if they fancy picking/meeting me somewhere, or in my vaux astra (find me a corner to hide it) rental car.
Meeting in comet as usual, then probably moving on?

The best thing about it is its location, nice and easy for everyone. Doubt as many would come if it was moved, lets just hope it can carry on for a bit longer where it is.
I am hoping to keep the meet near to the origanal site but both Comet and B and Q Will throw us out as the boy racers come in flocks to do burnouts on there shiny tarmac every night/week :annoyed:
But dont worry it will be easy to find and we will have no problems with the police.

Don't worry about the jeep, there's plenty of other non-Jap motors that turn up during the course of the evening so you'll fit right in :thumbs:

How about Kings Hill car park, just over Reading bridge on the way to Caversham as an alternative venue..??? There's tonnes of space, and no barriers to get locked behind. Going to try and make it but I'll be arriving late (leaving Derby at 6ish).

I'm trying to get a plan together.
The Mrs is gonna be up in Bracknell around until around 7.30-8-ish. I'm gonna have my little girl with me. So I'm trying to get the Mrs to come meet me in reading when she's done in Bracknell to show off her Lexus ;) then we go home together.
If the Uxbridge group are convoying up, I may join in.
So let us know West Londoners. Is a convoy happening?
