Ok then folks, if I've done this right it should be a poll to vote on having it either on Saturday the 1st, or Sunday the 2nd of May. I think everyone was happy with a 3pm time and at the Gloucester Old Spot?

Right maybe I should have put more thought into the poll. i should have added a third option for either day. :wack:

If you're ok with either day, no need to vote, just say so in here.

After talking to disco-tom the other day i think it would be better if people can make both days to post this.

Cheers

I voted Saturday 4 convienience, but seeing the other posts Sunday after 3 would be fine. Is the pub open all day sunday?

Was going to comment on the weather, but don't want to tempt fate.
Where's a fingers crossed smiley when you need it

Looks like Bart's voted wrongly and the vote should actually be 3 for Saturday and 4 for Sunday atm. Hopefully more folks will see this before voting ends on Friday.

We really wanna see those fingers!

I don't find mine's that thirsty. I have given the car some serious stick over the last couple of weeks (eh, Phil? ;) ) and still get 30mpg. :)

Well done in finding yourself one so quickly, did you have to travel far to get it? Great colour.

I can confirm in standard it should do about 32 to the gallon even if you give it some stick. I'm told that with improved induction and exaust this can easily be bettered.

Hope you can skip out of work and say hello.

Will do a little further down the line , the warranty company didnt seem to like the idea of mods for some reason  . Just going to do some style bits to start with , got my silver dials from Bren this morning so need to fit them first of all . Quick question have any of you guys got the silver or white dials and did you have to take the steering rack of to get to the instrument panel ??

shaun3937
28-04-2004, 19:35
steering rack? bit extreme aint it? surely its the steering wheel you need to remove to get to the instruments? :)

Re white dials.

Have a look for some of nicely's posts they link to his site with instuctions on how to do mods including fitting white dials I think.

Votes 50/50 at the moment, but I've got my lad AGAIN this weekend  so I won't bother voting but I'll try to make my usual flying visit either day.

5 weekends this month so I'll be free the 1st weekend in June :D (and for the Japfest weekend  )

disco-tom
30-04-2004, 10:40
Right, as it's 50/50 at the moment and all the usuall suspects have voted or said what they're up for, I'm gonna assume that we want the Sunday then?

I imagine that those who voted for Saturday would also be able to make the Sunday. I know I can, cHiL says he can sometime after 3pm, same with PMC 0503 and Bart voted wrong anyway, so if he comes at all it'll be Sunday.

Remember, the vote is still open until this evening. :wack:

Not a bad turnout really, with a couple of new'ish faces. :) Apart from Ramps66' S13, it was a total S14a turnout.

Ramps, sorry I didn't get the camera out 'til after you went. Mind, from the crappy shots I take (still can't get the lighting to look ok), it was probably a blessing in disguise. I would have made your car look bad, probably. :(

Anyway, here's some.

Mine on the left and Jezt15 (think that's how it's spelt).

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=8976&stc=1

From the left we have PMC 0503's, ad999's and cHiL's cars.

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=8980&stc=1

Here we have Simon (cHiL's mate), Jezt15 and cHiL discussing the finer points of a clean engine bay.

http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=8982

And here's PMC0503 and ad999 (who was doing a fine job of hiding from the camera - probably because he's so uglaay :p ).

Good job I left when I did then. :D

I'm sorting my sills so you'd have caught it in its full multicolour glory:

Black (Underseal :annoyed: :annoyed: )
Brown (Rust)
White (Filler)
Grey (Primer)
Beige (High build primer)
and various shades of Halfrauds "Matched" paint :(

Ahhh - the joys of having an S13 :D

Paul (PMC 0503) brought the dinky toy. :D

We should be having a little convoy down to Japfest, aye. As PMC 0503 and ad999 know the way pretty well, we'll be following their lead, so we'll try and organise a meeting time and place for the Saturday morning. I expect a thread will appear in this section nearer the time.

First meet in decent weather, and a few good laughs as well.

The little car was orderd direct from Hobylink in Japan.

http://www.hlj.com/scripts/hljpage.cgi?FUJ03412

It cost loads of Yen wich was about £5 for the Kit (Fujimi) and £6 for insured air mail, took about two weeks to get here.

Ad999 this is where my pads were from.

Looking forward to japfest.
