Any idea on how to access the eq on a Sony MDX670RDS (Can see it as a led on the front panel) also to the left of the eq led is another one i can't work out how to light up (Can't remember what it says).

Also...

Are sony and Kenwood changers compatible as they use the same bus cable?

Thanks

Hi you guys,
Firstly, I know the 'EQ' led you mean, it has a 'SUR' next to it. These two arn't used on this model. (that LCD display is used on a few different models) They used on sets with DSP surround which is a gimick and does sod all for sound quality!
Secondly, I know sony and kenwood share the same bus cables (so does jvc) but for christ's sake don't try it, you'll blow the poor girl to bits! (same goes for pioneer I'm afraid)

Anyone know how to stop my aerial from going up and down when I change CD?

And for you crude, lewd lot I aint talking about me knob! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

I got a Sony CDX 750 sommat or other, it's really fecking annoying!
My old Sony tape deck used to have an option to automatically switch the radio on when a tape was ejected or rewound.

Perhaps I'm missing something, but I reckon sony ballsed up here.

Jezz_s13,

very easy, just wire it to an ignition only live and when you turn the ignition on the aerial will be up no matter what you do with the stereo, if not put a little permanent live switch to it that you can turn on at will !!!

My old Sony unit had two outputs one for amps and one for aerial which ment it kept it up while the radio was on and put it down when the radio went off.

Two answers to this one. I can't remember offhand if this model has RDS, if it has, turn on the TA function and the aerial will stay up all the time the head unit is on. The only downside will be you might pick up a trffic announsment every now and then. If you don't fancy that the other option will be to dissconnect the aerial from the antenna remote and plug it into the amp remote but obviously you'll have to take the thing out to do that.
