Here: http://www.multimap.com/map/browse.cgi?X=393000&Y=224250&width=500&height=300&client=public&gride=&gridn=&srec=0&coordsys=gb&addr1=&addr2=&addr3=&pc=&scale=5000&advanced=&lang=&multimap.x=262&multimap.y=82

Probably won't be able to make this one :(

Got my lad next weekend and had to swap this weekend to go to the rolling road meet at Salisbury.

Might pop over for 5 mins cos he'd probably like to look at the cars.

I reckon the map that cHiL's posted is sufficient (for us locals, anyway)

cHiL
01-03-2004, 17:44
That map is zoomed right in when you click on it anyway so if you zoom back out you can see the M5 just up the road.. easy innit? (Rhetorical question lol)

Disco-tom - cheers for pointing this out

Hello all
I'll make it cos, hey, it's not exactly a long way .. I'll hardly get my engine warm (hmmm might take the long route)!

Sorry guys (and any gals) but I haven't got anything interesting on my car yet. I guess I'll just have to look at all of yours and help me decide what I should get

disco-tom
04-03-2004, 19:15
No problemo, Doobs. :)

Me and PrimeSi will be there from about 2, I suppose (that's if you're still ok with it, Prime?). I'm having sunday lunch myself and that should be squared away nicely by half past one. I'll be off about half past four anyway as I have to get be at my grans for tea and taxi duty for my mum. I don't see why having a sort of 'step' in the timetable will harm things? It'll just mean some will come and some will go. I'm sure there wil be some there staying the course and meeting everyone.

Maybe we could talk about changing the day to a Saturday meet on Sunday? That way we could sidestep the Sunday lunch issue?

disco-tom
04-03-2004, 22:22
Well, I'll defo be there 'til half past four at least. If guys are still turning up, I suppose I could stretch it to five.

05-03-2004, 05:44

shaun3937
05-03-2004, 17:49
i should be there for 2 but can't stay til 4. if jammers isn't going to be there when i am, is there anyone else that would give my car a quick run(with me in it of course) and tell me what they think? i'm experiencing some hesitation and am new to the modding world to know if its usual. i've had a quick look at the intercooler pipes and they look ok, would really appreciate some good advice. :notworthy

oh, by the way, this isn't an open invitation to thrash someone elses car!!!

cheers

and if i don't see you there jammers maybe catch up next time mate.

disco-tom
05-03-2004, 18:44
If you're still using normal unleaded, this could be the cause. I had significant hesitation with mine when using Tesco's special.

Cleared right up after a few tanks when I switched to Optimax.

Someone'll be sure to go for a spin with you. :)

shaun3937
05-03-2004, 20:08
i am using optimax and have been for a couple of months now. will discuss more on the day, but having put denzo plugs in tonight there is some improvement, but theres still a problem....i think:annoyed:

Sorry guys i can confirm i won't be there tomorrow:( . due to the timing.
Fitted my front mounted intercooler today - though!!! and cut the bumper about:eek: hee hee.

Maybe see you next month, but if its gonna be the 4th - touch and go - cos i'm on holiday!!:annoyed: This meet just doesn't suit me?  :furious:

I've been lazy and not checking.

Looks like most have said they'l be there for about 2. so I'll be turning up around then.

As for the next one being on a Saturday I would probably find the timing better, but I wonder how busy the car park would be.

Unless we would be looking at early evening

I'm sure we will know what we want to do next month by the end of todays meet.

07-03-2004, 18:31

any of you guys fancy earning £20? i got a greddy profec b boost controller that needs fitting to my s14, although i could probably do it myself i'd rather pay someone some beer money that has done it before. i live in longlevens, gloucester, i can come to you if need be. i've got someone else lined up for the job if there's no takers on here, but would rather an sx owner have a go for me.

Jammers
14-03-2004, 13:17
Shaun,
is it the new style controller? or second hand? And have you got a boost gauge yet!

James

shaun3937
14-03-2004, 13:28
got the greddy profec b spec II, not got a boost guage as the boost controller will show me the boost level, at least, i haven't got one yet anyway. will see how i get on. got it new from bren.

Jammers
14-03-2004, 13:32
Does this deffo show the boost???? and accurately?????

JAmes

Jammers
14-03-2004, 13:41
'Cos if it does and you don't need a gauge i'll have a bash, but you'll have to come to mine and bring me a few (4) bottles of nice red wine

shaun3937
14-03-2004, 13:46
like i said, i'll see how it goes once its fitted, then maybe i'll get a guage, not knowing too much about modding as you know, i'll see what interpro say about the car when i go for the rolling road session on april 3rd. i'm hoping they'll be able to find my boost leak too, chris seems to think i've definately got a leak and was offering to try to find it together next saturday but i don't think i can make it.

shaun3937
14-03-2004, 13:47
aaah, a man after my own heart! red wine i love too! sounds like a good plan, when you got in mind?

shaun3937
14-03-2004, 13:54
bren recommended the greddy, he said it has a digital boost guage and is very reliable, he's the man that should know i guess:nod:

cHiL
15-03-2004, 10:56
well I wouldn't mind a look at that too shaun:thumbs: There's an here in Chelt that has one and he uses the inbuilt boost "gauge". Should be very accurate I reckon. When's it gettin fitted?

shaun3937
15-03-2004, 16:30
nothing definate arranged for fitting yet, waiting to hear back from jammers to arrange a time, hopefully this weekend anyway whether he wants to do it or not. get it touch jammers if you're still interested mate.

Jammers
16-03-2004, 09:24
Hi,
OKay i'm seeing about arranging a time with my missus at the mo ....
However, first off, you need to post for the settings of the rear dip switches?
Next you need to think about where you are going to place the controller and the solenoid valve.
I have the solenoid valve in my engine bay by the air filter - you'll need a bracket at least.
And i have the controller in the old cubby hole bit?
Get the answers to those and then we'll be able to start.

cheers
James
