A good turn out guys. I hope M-Pro is publishing some pics.

Next planned meet is on 29th February (as you only get one chance every 4 years to do that) 5 O’clock onwards at the Harvester.

Driving Directions
FROM M1, TAKE JCT 14. FOLLOW SIGNS FOR MILTON KEYNES AND THEN FOX MILNE. AT ROUNDABOUT, TAKE 3RD EXIT TO FOX MILNE. TAKE 1ST LEFT INTO OPAL DRIVE.

There’s a Holiday Inn next door and they provided this useful link to help you find the Harvester, marked with a star.

Hey, i'd like to show my face as well if that's ok...

Only had the car a week, so it'd be nice to meet some other owners. Also, wouldn't mind having someone "in the know" listen to my wierd "air leak" noise. Never had another ***** to compare the noise too!!!

Anyone else drive up from Stevenage way?

oh dear, i think the gauntlet has been laid down, the apperarance has sucessfully lulled you into a false sense of security then:D

Grim
26-02-2004, 19:03
my gauntlet is exactly where i left it, thank you very much. I was mearly offering a collection service for your unwanted parts.

Your comments concerning a gauntlet obviously suggest some form of performance comparison, which as we will be using public roads, I must respectfully decline.

I will be happy to follow or lead at the posted speed limit, and i assume you will try to do the same. If we do hit a 60, then i will wait for you in the next village.

Also I would like to point out I will not be running at the pod, as i have the lowest PtW ratio in the club, and would not like to bring disrepute onto the club or to the 200.

however i will wash it.;) i hate that fooking salt

Ah, that'll be our reaction to GmasterT's fact that Beetle's wiper washers are powered by the pressure in the spare wheel.....:wack:

Doesn't that mean that you can only have a clean windscreen at the cost of a flat spare tyre?

oh come on it's german engineering, you have to inflate to 45psi and the washer stops working when you get to about 25psi (bit low but still useable)

Dodgy german technology.
all they needed was some little propellers:D :D

i would like to send a big thank you to my car.

wound down the window, turned off the engine, got a crowd round to watch the autowindow close (ok, not the most exciting event in the history of the world) and.....

...nothing. the bugger refused to lock. this wan't a problem with my circuit, the car was just totally ignoring the remote. it fooking knew people were watching it.

drove it home, got out, blipped it. locked immediately.
some form of demonic possesion i recon.

Christine was red as well, iirc
