Hi mate. You mentioned in another post that Nissan wanted £250 to fix your fan motor etc. Just wondering exactly what happened with it, cos mine packed up a few weeks back. Has it stopped working altogether or what. Mine kept blowing fuses after a short period, seems like the motor is on its way out (after this short time!!! NOT GOOD). Anyway, FYI, I've stuck a 20amp fuse in it now (normally 15amp) and don't turn it past the number 2 setting and it's perfectly ok. Im told its ok to shove a 25amp in there too if you want, it can't do any more damage if the motor's on its way out already.

Far too many mods to list here, it takes up far too much space and after being asked very nicely I've decided to shorten the sig (Is that a WOOHOO I hear??)
I, have NO SMELLY TREE, have no plans for a smelly tree and do not want a smelly tree, EVER!!!
Do not take offence to anything I say, even though I probably mean it. I am more than slightly mad, so just chill de feck oooot, ok!

Ross, have you seen this or did it drop too far down the list by the time you got on the web after the weekend??

Dan, sorry I missed your first post.

Yep Nissan actually fixed it a couple of months ago when settings 1 and 2 stopped working. A bout a week ago the whole unit packed up and they said it was the fan Motor itself. £180 for the fan! £250 all in incl fitting.

I am trying to hunt down a 2nd hand one. I dont usually set it on anything over 3...the other day I put it on 4 and it just stopped completely....

Did not think about the fuse!

Cheers

Ross,

A guy called Dreadly is breaking an s14 (forsale section). Why don't you get his fan motor? Fitting shouldn't be a problem if you've got a copy of the manual. Even better, if you take a drive up the Worcester, take the motor off Dreadly's car yourself, you'll know exactly how to refit it to your car.

cheers Geoff

....great minds and all that...

He was removing it for me last night (I hope)....I'm pretty sure the S14 fan will be the same as a S14a.

Either way its worth a punt.

I'd be gobsmacked if they weren't the same, most things apart from the front wings, bumpers and rear lights are identical.
