I think I have mice behind my dash. Sometimes, for the first couple of minutes after cold starting, a scraping gurgling whizzing noise comes from somewhere behind the instruments. I must wake them up when I start the engine. Then, because they're cold they must take to their wheels and bicycles and spin around for a while until they get too hot to do anymore.

Should I be concerned for them or should I throw a small cat in the glovebox and see what happens?

I solved this problem by leaving small pieces of cheese on the passenger seat... one hand on the steering wheel, the other on a 'kin big hammer http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif
Is it coming from the passenger side ? Some of the air conditioning stuff is behind the glovebox. Gurgling sounds ? unless you have some trapped air in the heater matrix ?

Yes, reckon it must be something to do with the ventilation.
The gurgling is all the mice drinking Guinness.

PB,

Quick solution to this problem which doesn't involve needless cruelty to Mickey and Minnie....

Buy a performance exhaust!!! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif
