Std boost pressure?

What is the boost that the standard actuator is supposed to maintain on the T28/S14?

My S13 with a T28, with the standard actuator on it runs at 7psi. Dunno why, just does.

My S14 only holds 7psi (0.5 bar) too. Sometimes I can get it to peak higher, but not for long.

this site reckons S14 Europe/australia is 0.5bar std, but 0.7bar (~10psi) in japan.
This explains why the japanese model develops more power. (Japanese model also runs higher octane fuel http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif )

Is there anyone with a bog std. S14 with a boost guage who can definitely tell me it holds a constant 10psi (0.7 bar) ? if so mine needs looking at.

When my engine let go, I suspected that there might be a fault somewhere along the line which had resulted in it running some silly amount of boost (like a Fooked actuator maybe). but SE checked it and said 12psi and Abbey checked it before and after the rebuild and said 10psi.

Far too many mods to list here, it takes up far too much space and after being asked very nicely I've decided to shorten the sig (Is that a WOOHOO I hear??)

My standard S14a would pull 0.7 bar at approx 6500rpm in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear. Measured on a boost gauge (obviously!).
