Can you get actuators that look like stock items? Or are there other crafty methods?

Well you could try the restrictor trick.
Martin describes it well,
http://www.users.bigpond.com/webspace/180sx/my_mods.htm

But you would seriously need to consider a boost gauge first which would also blow your cover. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Forgot the couple of washers on the actuator trick. And the bending the actuator arm. But do get a boost gauge to make sure that you arnt gonna break anything.

The restrictor trick sounds cool. Has anyone tried it? How much did it increase the boost by? http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Also check the free 0-60 mod posted just below - removes boost limit on 1st and 2nd gears.

Do the actuator hose mod with a temporary gauge and set it up
Remove gauge and leave it alone
That's the way around the insurance thingy

Erm, I'm not sure what's been described as a restrictor mod but it may have been the bleed valve mod here http://www.users.bigpond.com/webspace/180sx/my_mods.htm
In which case, yes that's what I mean

Goose: No it's not a bleed valve but it's on that link you posted just underneath the section about the bleed valve. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

It refers to 180SX and Silvia. I have a UK S14a so I don't know if it also applies to my car or not.
