replacing rear pads and brake pipes

Is changing the rear pads straight forward?

Also, I was told at the MoT that the rear brake pipes were rusty and would need replacing at some stage. My Nissan dealer told me that to replace the rear brake pipes the rear subframe has to be lowered! Is this true?

I shall probably replace the brake pads myself (I've replaced the front disk and pads) if it is easy. But I'll probably get a garage to do the pipes. So I'm interested in what the job actually entails.

Rear pads should be easy, they are on the S13. No idea about the hoses.
