Please help I have had to abandon my S14 at work as it has gone to overprotective mode and will not allow me to switch the alarm off.
I could start it up and lock and un-lock the doors but no central locking, and that bloomin siren !!
I am hoping that its a faulty key fob, the other ones I have seem to have a flashing red light when you press the button does this mean they are in learn mode?
If so how do you program a fob from the master fob?
Help !!!

Same thing happened to mine while it was at the nissan dealer for a service, I'm not saying that it's definately the same problem, but mine had to have the alarm control unit replaced. Anyway, you should have a white booklet about the anti-theft system that tells you how to reset the keyfobs, just in case you haven't here's the instructions:
To resynchronise the keyfob:
*Press the red and blue button of the keyfob together until the keyfob led stops flashing
*Release the buttons
*The keyfob light stays on
*Press the red button for 1 second
Should be operative now.

I thought the red light was constant when you press the red button...
At what point do I use the master key fob?
Tried a few things with the same result...
Reaching panic mode now http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/frown.gif

Damn, didn't want to have to type all this, but heres the procedure for re-learning the keyfob:
VLED=Vehicle LED (on the dash)
KLED=Keyfob LED
ACTION http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gifisarm the system VLED:On KLED:Flashing while pressing
ACTION:Put car key in ign-on position VLED:Off KLED: Off
ACTION:Press Red button Master-keyfob untill KLED stops flashing VLED:Off KLED:Flashing for approx 10 sec then stays on continuously
ACTION:Press red button Master-keyfob for 2 secs VLED:On KLED:Flashing while pressing
ACTION:Press both blue and red button on nornal keyfob at the same time continuously for about 10 secs untill the keyfob LED stops flashing VLED:On KLED:Flashing for approx 10secs then on continuously
ACTION:Press red button on keyfob for 2 secs VLED:Off for 0.5 secs KLED:Flashing while pressing
Repeat for the second keyfob.
Hope you can understand that one!!! If it still doesn't work the the alarm is probably screwed (hope you are in warranty!)

I cannot Disarm the system this is how it all started !!
Can I disconnect the alram to get the thing to Nissan at least?
A fuse or something?
I can see this turning into a huge nightmare that is going to cost me big time.
It is under a warrenty from the garage where I bought it but its a third party thing and I have just seen some small print that say excludes alarm.

Not want to sound like an idiot here, but...
Why don't you use the master key fob, and tehn get Nissan to reprogram the one with the "flat battery/attitude problem"?

It can be done, as I had mine disarmed for about a week while they ordered the new parts, however for the sake of all other S14 owners here I don't really want to give out info on where the alarm controls are on this board. If you give me a call on 56 I'll tell you where all the alarm gubbins are and maybe you can unplug some of it and get it to drive...
