So, I got in on the group buy and ordered the Racelogic traction control (adjustable with launch control). Its been kicking around the house for a couple of months but I finally got time to get it fitted and decided that the best people to fit it (taking into account distance etc.) were Racelogic. Got on the phone and it was booked in for the following week. I took the car down this morning (along with a few pages printed out from the service manual showing ECU/ABS pinouts etc). They were dead chuffed to see the pinout's as this would save them having to track them down and would also save me cash on labour http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif
Well three and a half hours and £120+vat later I was back on my way home.
So far I've tried the launch control and now I need a neck brace http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif never accelerated like that before and I thought I was taking it easy !
I also bagged a few window stickers with "RACELOGIC Traction Control" on and bought a Blitz din panel so that I can get rid of the little cupboard under the stereo (it has cutouts for two Blitz units ie. FATT-S and boost controller and a boost gauge and a square of vinyl so that any cutout you don't use is covered over) for £24.
Racelogic were very professional and helpful and I'd recommend them to anyone.
Phew.....now all I need is a bit of rain so I can play with the setup without killing my tyres.

Oh and as for TC being for "girlies" I havn't developed jugs, child bearing hips or long hair.

I like the sound of the Blitz DIN Panel, have you fitted it yet?

Where can I get one?

Have not fitted it yet but it has a picture of it in an S14 dash on the box http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif
Order from http:\\www.racelogic.co.uk (http://http:\\www.racelogic.co.uk)
(you need to know that it takes 43mm gauges which blitz do, the boost gauge is about £60)

I'm going to be fitting my traction control myself soon (well with some help from my auto engineer mate), if anyone is interested I could write up some instructions and post them here...

Well as I needed four tyres anyway I had a brilliant day trying out the different settings on the TC. We'd just had a heavy shower so I set the TC to "wet" and went off on my usual circuit. It makes such a difference to how "safe" you feel going quickly in the wet. I knew the roads so I could go in to corners as fast as I knew the front could handle but the big difference is being able to get on the power early and blasting out of the corners without the back end moving.
Second circuit was with 10% dialled in. It made a big difference to the grin factor. The rear would start to drift just a bit and then would stay there until I was through the corner then it would straighten up http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif
Last circuit was with 20%, this is more your hooligan setting as you can get some big slides without them going uncontrollable.
Now I've got my new tyres on I'm going to have to be a bit more responsible, well maybe they need wearing in a bit...... http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif
And for the more "pure at heart" you can also turn it off http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif
