Now i have been thinking about getting some guages for my 200 but can't seam to find any electro / mechanical guages i like, and remembered that the skyline has a digital console as part of the dash.

Now would'nt it be nice if the skyline console could be fitted to a 200.

But this is as far as i can take the idea so do any of you know if it is possible (Everything is possible given time and lots of money)...

Money...Which I think is might kill this idea as all parts for the skyline are expensive (Makes sence expensive car = expensive parts).

So to a second idea, I have seen the multi checkers that plug in to the diag port but want something a bit more fancy and with a few more functions.

So does anyone know of the data schematics for the diag port, or even a computer program that can read the diag info.

A pocket pc that could read the diag port, now that would be very nice.

Look in the "ownership" and "enhancement" sections of www.200sx.org (http://www.200sx.org)

The actual pin-outs of the "CONSULT" port are here: http://www.200sx.org/s14-consult.html

Hope it helps!

Re the auction guages.

Not what I was after but they are very nice looking.

I've got a gadget that reads the consult port. The port can operate in a number of modes, letting a proper Nissan consult unit turn on and off different things in the car for diagnostic purposes.
As far as I know the gadget I've got reads all the parameters the car has... you've got the following: water temp, speed, revs, power steering pump, ac compressor, BCSV valve (no idea what the hell this is), AAC valve (%), throttle position, AFM1, AFM2 (if you had a second one), Lamda voltage1, lamda voltage2, ignition timing, injector on time.
I think that's it.

Tom,

Am I correct in remembering your gadget costs a small fortune?

For a cheaper alternative, try http://www.nissansilvia.com/ and look in the tecnical section under the PIC mircoprocessor part. I'm sure someone on this board could knock it together...
