Do you know if there is a unit in the pipeline with 8x outputs for fully sequential operation on a V8?

I've been weighing this up versus a Megasquirt MS3X. At the moment the Megasquirt is preferred as it can run fully sequential fuelling and ignition whereas I would have to run wasted spark + semi-sequential on the Spitronics, but it looks like an attractive unit otherwise from a price and performance point of view. If an 8x output unit is being considered or in development then I would be keen to see pricing etc.

I asked the same questions lol

The answer I got was "mercury Advance would do this. It comes with 2x4 way coil drivers for the coils and can do fully sequential fuelling upto 8 cylinders."

Its a bloody good price.

Hi Guys

Yes one of the kits has 2x4 way coil drivers for full sequential ignition and you can the drive the sequential fuelling.

Taken from the website

"The Mercury covers features like Lambda control, idle control, launch control, fuel pressure control, cam control, line pressure control, tiptronic gear control, stepper motor control and lots more. It has 6 positive drivers that can be converted to 12 coil igniters drivers, 8 negative drivers for injectors or GP outputs, rpm output, relay and electronic relay outputs. These drivers range from 3.5 Amp to 6 Amp."

The price is £427 all in for the full kit.

You just need to add a couple of relays and a fuse box as required

I can send full wiring diagrams for anyone so you can check it out yourself :)

I was looking through the diagrams yesterday and I was wondering if that was the case but thought I'd check.

Complete bargain. An MS3X for reference is £620 + add ons.

Yes they are well priced.

I Have access to the Spitronics site as well which means when updated firmware is created I can pass it on to customers as well for free. You can also upgrade to a 4bar map sensor for £10 extra!

If anyone had a MX5 they were turboing I can get them at full standalone Pluto for less than £280!

I'm costing everything up at the moment for getting a 1UZ into my S13. Save £200+ on the ECU is a bit of a godsend really. I'll let you know when things are getting a bit more together, hopefully some time around September.

Most notably, so far we have got them on 1UZFE's in

1920 hotrod
E30 BMW
Nissan Stagea
Hilux Surf
Ford Capri

That's just from memory, quiet a varied bunch

:)

There is a link to an E46 BMW running a twin turbo 1UZFE on my website

The great thing is they also run throttle bodies no bother and up to 4 rotar rotaries as well

That could work and fairly cheap

ill probs go with a fusion brain or something along those lines and a 8 inch screen in the dash rather than a load of gauges it should also beable to switch maps and give knock and a/f ration warnings.
