auto alarm goes off ANYTIME ... HELP

I have a 1986 Nissan 200SX turbo and the factory alarm system has been going off all by itself anytime it wants ... how can I disable it or fix it? PLEASE HELP

you should have a small key as weel as the ignition key, open the bonnet and find the siren, should be at rear bulkhead, pull off the rubber cover and insert key, turn it off.

Behind the radio is the link to the ultrasonics, you could adjust them by turning the small pots for sensitivity.

I have a later car but my alarm was misbehaving due to the pin switches under the bonnet (but could as easily have been those on the doors or boot).

I checked there was no moisture across the contacts then simply stuck a lump of stuff on the underside of the bonnet so that the switch was pushed further down when the bonnet was closed. The alarm has not gone off incorrectly since.

I also used blu-tak and a penny to shorten throttle travel and am trying to think of a use for an old shoe I have in the garage. Part leather seats ?
