Help....Just got my car back from having the manifold/turbo gasket sorted.....(see my post in the general section). Now the car is overheating fast. The mechanic has obviously screwed up. What the hell could he have done......p.s the gasket/bolt job cost me £450.

When you do the gaskets you're sposed to drain the coolant and refil it after. Maybe theres an airlock or bubbles in the system or its just not filled up.

Could be dodgy thermostat (jammed closed) or blocked clogged radiator...

Thanks Jez! It was just an air pocket. I really appreciate your advice. I think Im gonna end up visiting this site daily.

By the way.....who is the Boxhill connection? I live about a mile away
