mine did that for a week after i bought it, revved sweet, ticked over fine. But under load it had a bit of a cough, I swapped the plugs and it was fine. For £15 Id give it a go anyway.

Try ignition unit. disconnect the 2 plugs and then connect them again, worked for me after checking everything u done and no joy.

Up until yesterday, my car was misfiring a bit off boost when very cold and then slightly when warmed. Thought it may be overfuelling a tad.
Changed the plugs - still dong it.
At the moment the cars pinking a tad, so I'm using an Octane booster. However, as I read on the bottle on Saturday, it's not meant for cars with cats. I've been told that if yu use these types of booster/LRP or leaded fuel theres a chance of gumming he lambda sensor up. Bugger I thought.
However - (I'll get there eventually!) I put half a bottle of injector cleaner in it yesterday, cained up the strip about 15 times and the problems gone! At least for the mean time.
Try some injector cleaner - this may help!

See - I got there!

you maybe have some crap in the fuel. I havent experienced it on a car lately but the last time that happened to me i found water in the fuel tank that had seeped in through a hole. Easiest way to check that is to take off the fuel filter and shake the contents out into a glass. If it has greasy looking crap in it then there is something in there that shouldnt be. Try a cheapo filter from halfords and watch it going through. I found that the crap in my fuel was stopping at the filter until i floored it when the pressure was pushing through all the rubbish. Accelerating gently never seemed to make it grumble. So it sounds like what you are suffering from.

I might be way off mark (i had an astra at the time) but its a 10 min job to check.

If youve got a 'cat' on your car that may be shagged, if its knackered then it will make the car run rough as a buzzards crotch.

No cat,but wouldnt that make it run rough no matter what variable,ie under load, stationary, hot, cold etc.

How about the crankcase breathers, the crankcase will pressurise under load because the turbo can spin up, the turbo only spins when the car is stationary when you REALLY slam the throttle down and rev to 5000 - 6000 rpm.

my money is on fuelling. Can we make this like a BANZAI gamble? - Just watched it on the telly. Absolute class, that stuff should be on more often. Good luck with it anyway m8. http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Could be a dodgy knock sensor(straws and clutching come to mind)

When I first got mine, I thought it was misfiring at about 6000rpm, turned out that the wheels spun a bit over a crap bit of road! Sounded like a misfire though!

Check all the little rubber vacume hoses around the engine. Me and my mate have both had missfire problems caused by split vacume hoses. Very cheap to fix as well!

Another possibility is a loose intake pipe after the turbo - so the airflow meter thinks the engine is getting more air than it is.....
