Bohhhhhhhhhhh *pop* Boooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh *pop* bwoooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

top stuff, my sound effects dont really do it justice, but there you go. As for fitting, yes I did it myself as Tweeks decided they wanted 70 quid to fit it!

As it is it took ages, swing under your car, look up at the flange on the exhaust to turbo elbow, do those three nuts look like theyre gonna snap? mine did, all three had to be drilled out. Took hours.

I was quoted 20 quid to have it fitted by a local exhaust place but they wouldnt do it till monday and i wanted it on NOW NOW NOW! so i went for it.
In all honesty unless those nuts look like they are gonna be fine, Id spend the money and have it put on.

Chimp: have you had any problems with the exhaust bouncing off the ground at all?
Is your car lowered? I'm having problems going over certain types of road now with the hks on it. I'm sure someone's not fitted it right or something.

You should have blagged Tweeks, I think I got mine fitted for £20-£25 after saying kwik-fit would do it for that much http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

Sure enough Tweeks matched the price and put it on for me - though I have spent £2000+ there in the past few years http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/rolleyes.gif

The Mongoose zorsts are wicked though, Ive been driving a works 1.4 306 and the XR2 all week, but decided to have a play last night, so the 200 came out, first time since last Sunday. First turn of the key and she sparked in to life - the rest of the night was fun fun fun http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

hehe.. I was expecting it to sound neat, I was chuffed to bits when i started it up for the first time, just a nice deep rumble, no dodgy "Peco" noises. It was another hour before I had got washed and gone out for the night, I was killin meself laughing as it climbed past 3,500rpm. People stop and turn around to see what it is from like 1/4 mile away!

Stuy - I don't remember how much you would have heard Matt's HKS, but what did it sound like? as far as I remember, it would have been down on sound as the T28 has less back pressure and would have robbed some noise - it was certainly less noisy than usual but I think it managed to come back to normal volume after a week or two.

Well, I thought I saw a 200SX, but I deffinatly heard one (and the people inside http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/wink.gif - noisy rabble).

It did sound nice, very deep, oh and there was a lovely pop on the gear change.

Not sure how they stack up against the Mongoose though, everyone says mine sounds like a monster!! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif

bwoahhhh hah hah hah, mister stuymac indeed, noisy rabble is an understatement, andyf was screaming at u, making a noise resembling a stuka nose-diving from around 20,000 feet!!

i have heard a mongoose and they do sound nice, very nice so it is very good for the money, the hiper muffler does sound different so it is personal preferance i guess, gotta love HKS, even if they are pricey, they still kick royal ass!! gets looks every where i go and people stare at the tailpipe until they almost crash, i guess you just don´t see 4.5in tailpipes booming at u every day...

Matt_J,

I know when I saw the zorst it looked rather big http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/eek.gif , but 4.5"!!!!

Make sure you turbo is bolted in tightly or you could lose it out the back http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/biggrin.gif
