I've just bought a new tailgate (along with front and rear bumbers and rear lights) to repair the damage to my car after being hit from behind, (it took 4 months for them to settle with me!). I will need to respray the tailgate as it is not the same colour so does anyone know the paint code for the darker shade of red and where i can get some?

If it's that Burgundy colour it called 'Morello Cherry'.

And the paintcodes were mentioned this week after I queried the same under the heading of something like 'Paint.....zzzzzz'.

'zzzz' because it's dead interesting!

Hi james, didnt see your post for a few days! As far as the car goes the insurers wrote it off but i agreed to let them pay me £1700 instead! So now iv'e bought all the parts (for under £400!) and just need the rear end straightning.(a tidy little profit!)
In a couple of weeks i've got an appointment at ND for a bottom end balance, forged pistons, flywheel and maybe FMIC (i'm really going for it now!)
so i'm looking foward to the rolling road day in October! Are you going?
