Hi folks and welcome to the aftermath of the meeting.
1st off it was great to put a few faces to names / nicks and see some rather nice motors too :D
The day started off at KFC in Plymouth, i managed to find an area of carpark totally deserted.. deserted that is till a corsa parked right in the middle!
Me and the missus were sat there for 20 mins before anyone else showed up, who was Turbo Chef who made the trip up from Newquay, then PM200 with Vega (having a 'my exhuast is louder than urs contest') closely followed by Chris_Lacey
and lisatiptop1 with their respective cars with better halfs in tow. Bringing up the rear was ACECROSS (who motor i am sure is a bit more than 35mm lowererd!)
Plesentries and greetings exchanged we made our way out on the the main road to Yalberton and headed for the pub meet, to The Leg Of Mutton. We decided on this due to the fact they have a bigger car park and we prefered to park together for higher pose factor :D

Then into the pub for a meal that none of us will forget in a hurry..
we managed to get a table for 11, by them chucking a few tables together, onto the bar whilst they got it ready for us. It was whilst sitting waiting for the fine figured waitress (chris will hold her image forever in his heart) took our order we had the landlords son unleashed upon us like the cure for insomnia he was. Picture the scene, billy no mates, in a texeco / panasonic shirt (never knew they sponcered waiters these days!) stood there qupoting all he knew about Nissans, how his mate had this and that, he had a GT4 and was importing some bullshitmobile from Japan, the one with the boostgauge in the boot.... He droned on for what seemed a lifetime, the sihgt of us pissing ourselfs and giggling like schoolgirls didnt seem to put him off. Then he waffled about how good scoobys were much to joy of Chris.
the meal (carvery) was ok for those wishing to go there in the future just watch out for that lad.Mind you his dad was just as bad... I have a Jag V12 you know..

Meal over, we went outside to the carpark to ponder over eachothres cars. we like the tidy engine on Vegas beasty.

and then compared it to Chris's

Can anyone spot the difference, answers on a postcard please...
Then it was time to go for a little quiet drive into the countryside.. yeah right... a full speed blast more like it :D

Then onto Badger Holt for a FAB icelolly.., classic moment being us lot all parked together in the carpark there and some bloke asking if we were a Nissan owners club to which lisa barked 'NO' without breaking stride, impressive :)
Sat down by the river chewing over the day and finally not deciding on a date for the next meeting!, Chris reminising over his near love lost with the wonder-waitress. a semi-speedy exit off the moors left us at the Ashburton service station where we all parted ways for the trip home, i kept lisa's rear mirror full of me until tweenaway.
All in all a brilliant day out, the weather stayed good right till the end, then pissed it down.
We are all going to find out where vega lives and rob bits off his car :D
thanks for those that turned up and to those that could not make it you missed a blinding day out.:notworthy:
Hope you can all come to the next one whenever and wherever it will be, i think Torbay is good and also Exeter as both are fairly central. Hope this thread aint bored you to tears like a good scooby man can, thanks for reading and i wish the img code was on for pics instead of links, makes it much easier to follow! :notworthy
BIG THANX GOING TO ANDY FOR ORGANISING THE DAY, THE RESEARCH AND THE MAN RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING US THERE AT THE SAME TIME. LOOKING FORWARD TO MEETING YOU ON THE NEXT ONE.
