Big ends?

Ive got a nasty rattling noise that starts at at around 3000rpm and continues 'till redline. Also the oil warning light comes on for a few seconds on startup, Does this mean my big ends are fooked?

Really tho' does sound like it, you sure the oil light didn't do that before? How long does it stay on for?

Mine stays on for about a second, but that I would thought would be normal at it's gonna take some time for the oil to get upto pressure.

BTW my bearings are shagged, have been for the last 2.5K.

I'm slowly fixing them.

The oil warning light definatly didn't come on before, it comes on for about 3-4 seconds. Oh, ive got a big flat spot between 2000-3000rpm aswell, but could be due to a gasket blowing on the exhaust somewhere?
My car sounds like a diesel at the moment, and produces just about the same ammount of smoke http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/frown.gif
Still managed to burn off a Astra GTE last night though!
