Cool, gonna get the springs ordered soon and then some decent brakes. Hopefully it'll be all sorted for Trax and Nurburg!

Looking well forward to it! http://300zx.co.uk/200sx/ubb/smile.gif

Can anyone recommend some uprated shocks as well to go with the springs? Won't be getting them for awhile yet though.

I've got Koni's and they're OK. Adjustable front and rear, although to adjust the rear ones you have to take the struts apart and take the spring off the shock.

I think they're OK, but haven't had anything else to comapre them too. Certinaly a lot better than standard although it can be a bit bumpy at times.

Good for trackdays. I have the rear set at about 3/4 stiffness and the fronts as stuff as they'll go.

Hope that helps - I'd be interested to hear what everyone else uses/thinks.

cheers

I use a KYB shocks / Avo-Chassis Dynamics springs mix. Works well but I'd probably like it a bit stiffer and there's still quite a lot of rebound on a bumpy country lane.

Andyf,

was this the kit that Simon Norris sells ?

If so, I agree, although it is a firmer ride, I think more damping is required, and certain bumps (old dual-carriage ways) really make the ride awful. Methinks adjustable shocks will be needed in the future.

I wanted the 'fast road' kit, but they are coil-overs and far to hard for A and B road use.

My old S13 has TEIN HR adjustable coilovers with pillowball top mounts front and rear, front camber adjusted by 1.5 degrees. The springs are rated at something like 400lbs.

They are the absolute dogs boll*cks, but a bit stiff for a daily driver. You can stand in the boot and jump up and down and the thing will barely move!

Can someone describe to me exactly what coil-overs are?
Thuvir - yes, I got these via Simon Norris. I was scouting some country lanes today and managed to crack one of the exhaust pipes off some bumps several times in a row which really freaked me out.

Definitely going to need something stiffer too...
