Barryjdart
15-06-2003, 22:31
Yes, I tend to agree. At least it's dry if it's raining and those of us that are suffering from the sun last Sat. (me included) can get some shade if it's sunny. :D :D :D

scott_drayts200 I was going to say look at the regular meets post but --------some one has deleted it.   It gave directions and times for all the regular meets.

The time is usually around 1 - 2 pm.
The place is the underground car park at the Bowlplex complex just off the Avon Ring Road (A4147) between Hick's Gate roundabout (A4) at Keynsham and the Warmley roundabout (A420) east of Bristol.

See you there.

Barry,

Yeah, i was looking for that the other day, thought i was going mad

Anyway, think i know where you mean, in fact, think ive had a small "meeting" with a lady near there. Hush hush :D :D

Is anyone driving up from Exeter/Torquay, etc - down that way? If so, could stop off at junction 25 (where i live) for McD's or Sainsburys breakfast, then we could all head up to Bristol?

Just a suggestion.......

As the weather looks like it'll be nice I thought I might make the trek down from dreary Staffordshire if you have room for 1, possibly 2 real beer drinking northernors amongst you southern shandy drinking lot. :)

Is there a map anywhere or a postcode I can type into via Michellin to find out where it is and how long it's likely to take to get there?

Nicely
09-07-2003, 08:27
Yah! The Modmeister himself! :notworthy Take a look at this old thread: http://www.sxoc.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=41961 . The Bristol map is halfway down on one of Barry's posts.

I was hankering for one a while back, but then my job situation went pear-shaped and hasn't recovered yet. Maybe sometime in the future. Just wanted to actually see one, and thought others might like some photos.

Editted to correct crap spelling.

In the meantime you could always invest in a job lot of those shirts and try and flog em in the 4sale section :p ;)

Nicely

Thanks. Good to meet you BTW.

Ordered the shirt from Oz. Cheaper than buying them here.

Have just viewed the (very good) pics on the Nicely site.

Nicely done  :notworthy

Thanks for recalling my glory moment........ :o :wack:

Correction: As usual, an exaggerated claim of a car's performance (   ); my Punto has 58bhp and NOT the wildly-suggested 60bhp.

Please ensure you get your facts right next time. Tut  :wack:

Nicely
13-07-2003, 14:44
I humbly beg forgiveness for that heinous feux par. :notworthy I should have checked LaxPower for the performance figures of a 1.2 Punto. I have made an appropriate amendment to the page. ;)

Apology accepted in light of the fact that you have amended the relevant 'performance' figure:wave: :wack:

JB
14-07-2003, 08:25
How typical of a Boy Racer to get so worked up about 2bhp

Ripper
14-07-2003, 08:53
2bhp onto 58 is around 4%.

I wouldn't like to claim something that isn't true :D

JB
14-07-2003, 08:56
Yes but all those kiddy sunshades must be good for at least another 20bhp.

Ripper
14-07-2003, 08:58
I'm going to put another one up so that must be 25bhp+

I'm not going to declare this, either - cheap mods!

I can hear the arguement with the insurer now... :D

JB
14-07-2003, 09:10
You're reckless and irresponsible to openly promote that you're not going to declare all these mods on an open forum.

Frankly I think that Boy Racers like you should be banned from this board. It's this kind of attitude that gives the SXOC a bad name and makes us look foolish when the mods keep giving you a final chance.

Nicely
14-07-2003, 09:12
Totally agree. And do you know how long it'll take to clean those scrabbly tyre prints off the floor of that car park?

Ripper
14-07-2003, 09:59
I apologise UNRESERVEDLY for my Boy-racerish attitudes and beg the Moderators to show mercy.

I realise now that such flagrant modding of my power-chariot-trolley-thingy with total disregard for the position of the Insurance company is not big and certainly not clever :(

I will REMOVE said mods immediately (or when the Sun goes in - which should be about October).

This will not happen again.

Probably.

Jeff
14-07-2003, 10:04
Don't worry Ripper, being without a 2***** for a couple of months would make anyone go a bit :wack: We understand ;) :D
