Does anyone fancy changing the location of the June meet?

To Castle Combe race circuit :D

Because on that day there's a Cars & Car Conversions Action Day - take your 200 round the track, £20 for 5 laps :D

There's usually loads of cool cars to see, even if you don't go round yourself :)

What do we reckon?

Jeff

How much is it for entry if you're not going on track Pete? :)

Pete C
19-05-2003, 11:01
£8 per person :)

I know it sounds a bit steep, but trust me it's worth it just to watch.

Jeff
19-05-2003, 11:06
Yeah, I had a great time at Japfest on Saturday so I'm up for it :)

Pete C

I've just emailed Castle Combe Circuit about the possibility of us getting a club stand there :)

Apparently you get free entry for members and also free track passes for use before 11am :D

Pete C

SMiFFAD
20-05-2003, 10:53

Tara
20-05-2003, 11:47
:notworthy Wow your serious! Perhaps I should re-consider coming to Castle Coombe with my completely standard 200. Quick what can I do between now and then?

SMiFFAD
20-05-2003, 11:52
Get a boost gauge and do the FBU, give you about 25 BHP for two mins work............

do a search or i can email you some piccys/instructions. works well on standard car you get a bit of a problem once you atsrt playing with filters and zorsts.......

Can be done with out the boost gauge, as if it spikes over 15psi you will hit boost cut, so you know its not working properly.

Basically it involves removing a little brass restirctor, which take your boost pressure from around 7psi to 14psi, blistering difference, as i found when i reversed mine, became very slow.......

boost gauge recommended so you can see what it is doing.....

then:

filter,
zorst,
etc etc

Tara
20-05-2003, 11:59
Sounds good! Send me some pics if you can. Not to worry if you can't.
Cheers

SMiFFAD
20-05-2003, 12:08
will do some this eveing for you.

like i said, in the s14a you can do it with out the boost gauge, cos if you hit boost cut its spiking and needs reversing, (tends to do it if its cold).

Another option, does similar thing but cost about £40 and adjustable, is a BREN DEVICE, through apex performance (bren).

better way of doing it but its not free ;)

Tara
20-05-2003, 12:14

My name's Pete :p :D

But sure mate, I'll put your name down provisionally, but I don't really want to start a list yet 'cos Castle Combe still haven't got back to me to say if we can have a stand yet

I'll let everyone know and probably put up a big post in General Questions or something as soon as I've heard something from them :)

Sorry about the delay, folks, not my fault though :(
