Spent all my money on rebuilding my engine and can't afford immobiliser for now...and loads of 14 year old thugs wandering around.

Anyone got any bright ideas for immobilising a S13 nice and quick...preferably without opening the bonnet everytime.

Can extend wires, install switches, remove the odd relay...but where? Should be simple enough....

Easy and effective way would be to remove the fuel pump fuse in the fuse box next to the battery.
Two crimps into the female side of fuse holder, two bits of wire, a fuseholder for the fuel pump fuse and a switch hidden somewhere in the car or possibly on a keyswitch.

Any other ideas?

Matt

You could put the switch near the boot opener, as the loom passes right by there.

Both options possible....thanks guys. What wires go past the boot lever...anything interesting? How easy to get wires from battery through the bulkhead to somewhere accessible?

Someone suggested routing through to the cigarette lighter circuit...

Colin,
There's a hole through the bulkhead underthe master cylinder for throttle cable etc. Other than that, if your car doesn't have A/C then theres two blanked holes under the ABS pump.

Happy plumbing!

check out autospeed.com and go to the tech section, tells you how to make your own immobiliser like the cliffords virtual key
