View Full Version : S14 1996 50k Miles Breaking!

To all owners that have expressed an interest. We got the car onto a ramp on Wednesday to start stripping it (it acutally still drives!) On getting the car in the air we were shocked at the amount of damage to the chassis. It was FCUK'd !!! Although the car showed minimal damage on the exterior, the underside is like a bomb site, both sides of the rear suspension have damage, even the front passenger side! The boot was even warped on closer inspection. There was just no way I would of broke even on the car.

Due to this I have decided to cut my losses and sold the car complete to to cut my losses.

I am sorry for raising up your hopes and wasting valuable band width (for a 2nd time!) on this great forum.

The car is complete bar the damage you can see, here is a main part list:

Engine, gearbox and Running gear (hubs, discs, calipers, LSd etc) I will be keeping for myself un-less someone makes me a serious offer over £1000.

Front fogs and wings already taken.

Full leather interior (Front and rear seat and door panels) £450. Black and in very good condition. I will not split the interior.

Front Bumper £100
Front Bonnet £125
Front Splitter £75 (cracked but easy repair or £100 repaired)
Headlights £50 each
Side Lights £15 each
Window motor and regulator £50 per door
Door mirror £50 each
Wheel and tyre £50 each
Boot lid £125
Boot Lid Panel £50
Rear Spoiler £50
Rear Passenger side light cluster £50
Rear Passenger side fog light £15

Any other parts you want but not listed, please post on this thread and I will reply with the price via PM. Please do not PM me as the mailbox gets full very quickly! Hello mate - (if unbent) need driverside suspension components (upper arm, lower arm and guide) - mine is 3.5 degrees out on the rear driverside but don't know which part is the culprit - thus need to replace all.

How much for the bar that goes behind the bumper please mate, it un-bolts from the end's of the chassis legs and are in black.

To everyone that wants parts, I will be going to the car today (Monday) and taking some more pics. Also, all the requests I have had so far regarding interior trim pieces I will check to see if the they easily accessable or not to determine price.

to take out the heater controls all you need to do is pull off the the top part of the centre console, take out 4 screws and pull out 3 plugs. about 5 minutes work.

EDIT:

also the trim round the steering wheel has a couple of srews in it.. could i be cheeky and just ask for those??

or if it hasnt had that sodding sony remote hole cut into it, ill take the whole thing, but im beginning to think they've all been butchered now..

EDIT 2:

heater unit resistor pack.. that credit card sized thing attached to the fan assembly..

DO YOU STILL HAVE FRONT BUMPER AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE LIGHT CLUSTER. I ALSO NEED REAR BUMPER IF YOU KNOW OF ONE ABOUT?

Reading this thread, cant work out if its breaking or not, first post say it is, then car sold, then buyer pulls out, anyone know if its being broken or not?
