mate why did you use s14 automatic diff??
Evilchap
09-04-2008, 23:24
S14a auto diff is really short, faster acceleration ;)
spot on and also i shouldnt of had the same beating that a manual would
-***JOKER***-
10-04-2008, 10:22
i guess it is shorter on the final gear...
i got told it is the same ratio as the s13 cos a manual s14 is different
but even better my new turbo has just arrived:):):):)
i will put picks up later
ok i know just about every one has seen a gt28r turbo, but i have never seen one let alone owned one, so am amazed:D:D

and i got the diff bolted in and shafts on

so tomorrow i can hopefully get the new anti roll bar and suspension on and then refit it all back on the car..

http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_4183.jpg

i actually get alot of the parts off ebay ie. tien springs, wossner pistons ths conrods, front and rear fenders, strut braces, oil cooler.
the bushes and anti roll bars came from apex and driftworks, the anti roll bars were a group buy.
i have also put an order for a carbon tailgate from srb.
and the car will be getting a lovely new lick of paint when im happy with the bodywork.
ok first chance to get on the ramp.

welds look good but make sure you clean all the rust off or you'll be back were you started in a year or so.
yeh i know, that was welded a while back, need to clean it up and finish it.
but my brothers welds have not failed yet, like cars he has welded over 5 years ago, so heres hoping.
once again finding it hard to find time to work on this, but got some and started to take the sound deadening out

nice work mate, those rear arches are uber wide,
whats the little ally plate by the inner rear edge of the back wheels for, rivveted to the inner arch lip,
the arches are really wide so now i have to find wide wheels to go with them... was thinking of rota GTR's 17x9.5 et12
its not an ally plate that was on the car its a sheet of rubber, think its to try and stop crap hitting the exhaust from the wheel.
got the other rear fender held on in place and lined up, took a fair bit of sanding but now its ready to secure properly.
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6035.jpg
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6034.jpg
sat the rear bumper in place (needs slight adjustment), what do you guys think???
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6156.jpg
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6159.jpg
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6160.jpg
Sweet as mate... gonna look top notch! :)
Hard to tell, but the rear bumper just looks like it needs a touch of 'adjustment' to get it to sit dead-centre of the rear of the car... really suits it tho, a pretty different rear IMO. :)
Hope you're gonna use both those exhaust cutouts tho... or hide the rhs one. ;)
really looking good tho mate... keep up the good work. :)
Nize.
well the exhaust i have only uses the left, i woul like two but it means a custom exhaust.
but on a good note the tow eye sits there, so i could get the wee red tow sticker??
good project you have there!! comng along nice.
Yeah mate, not a bad idea... if you tarted up the towing eye and made a feature of it, it'd look pretty cool. :)
well managed to do some work today.
i made a battery tray, its simple but does the job.
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6161.jpg
and started cutting the rear panels for the cage.
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6164.jpg
and i have also decided to change the bodykit, as i will have to cut my new front fenders just for the front bumper, and i dont want to do that.
ok be ages since i last updated.
so the cage is now fitted
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6499.jpg
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6500.jpg
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6501.jpg
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6502.jpg
and the kit i got is a bastard to fit, so for the time being i am going to fit the standard bumpersfor the lwo and wide look.
so i am on the scrounge i need one of these for the drivers side wing.
http://i299.photobucket.com/albums/mm281/hondabus/100_6504.jpg
Love the interior work mate and the arches but Im really not a fan of your front and rear bumpers:( it will look better with standard imo:thumbs: good luck with it though and keep up the good work:)
This looks like a fun project i wana see it finished :D
ok funds have put hold on everything so i have been trying to get the bodywork done as the front wings are a bit of a bugger to get sitting right.
so here are a couple of pics as she sits.
