I am starting this post as we are looking to get this done in the next 4-5 weeks so here is the list of things to be done in that time :wack:
rebuild the engine we have ( bought it and recieved it in bits) :wack:
take out the auto box and convert to man ( have all the bits for this now as we went and picked up the conversion bits on sunday)
make sure that all is running nicely and sort out any teething problems we may have along the way
we may even be doing an s14 front calliper conversion at the same time also :wack:
Pics will follow

well finally got the engine and box in the car last night :wack: reason being having to repipe the stock water cooled oil cooler in on an engine that didnt have one boy that was fun lol.
well with that done we shoehorned the new engine and box into the car and I have got it all bolted in along with the prop.
I did take some pics last night and will get them up asap all thats left to do now is plug all the wiring in and do the plumbing oh and put the ancilleries on ie exhaust mani and turbo, alternator, a/c pump, and p/s pump then get some oil then we are good to go

Sorry Si, don't understand your discription above. What are you doing? I'm:confused: now
slider91
10-08-2007, 09:06
ok sorry jase and for anyone else that I have confused there are 2 different types of oil filter housing one with and one without an oil cooler the one with is pictured below
http://sxoc.com/vbb/attachment.php?attachmentid=48111&stc=1&d=1186736577
now the 2 bits I have circled are different on the jap spec engine we have 1st the pipe that is attached to the block on the jap spec does not have the secondary (smaller pipe) coming from the main water feed and does not have somewhere for the water return to pipe back into the system.
I have had to figure a way of piping these in and make it work.
I hope that this cleares that one up for anyone that I confused

ok a little update I have put the new wings that we have on and the one has been primered and the other will be done as soon as the filler work has been completed  I will try and get some pics up asap for those who may be interested :wack:
I have also sanded down where the paint stripper was on the o/s door and rear wing and primered that so she is getting there  may yet be ready for japfest, well at least in primer and back on the road for then anyway :wack:
Well as its been a glorious weekend down here, Simon has been getting on with alot of body work.:D
Unfortunately due to the MOT running out and not having the time to correct all the things it would need to pass another one, it wont be making its apperance at Japfest this year
As im sat out baskin in the sunshine i thought i would upload some recent pictures to bring you all up to date
